As Voters Head to Polls, Montgomery Sees Glitches
Technical Problem with New Voting Machines Plague Some Precincts
Christina Pino-Marina and Jeffrey Marcus Washington Post Tuesday, November 5, 2002; 1:15 PM
As residents of Maryland, Virginia and the District cast their votes in several closely watched races, technical problems plagued some precincts in Montgomery County, Md.
Montgomery residents using the new electronic touch-screen voting machines at all 30 precincts in legislative District 19 saw the word "Democratic" in the header of the ballots...

Maryland is called the vote fraud state for good reason!

Isn't it interesting how the alleged problems always occur in precints that are heavily Rat?

This is true, it happened to a friend of mine, when she went to review the ballot (straight GOP) it said party affiliation: Democrat across the top. She started raising holy heck right there in the booth and the poll worker came over and said all the machines had been set to default to Democrat but "don't worry it won't affect your vote." Needless to say she is still a little worried!

The only counties that the democratic Governor Candidates win are Prince Georges and Montgomery plus Baltimore City.
They stole atleast 66,000 votes in 1994 and probably alot more.
Thousands of prisoners from the jail were "voted" and thousands of people were recorded as voting from abandoned houses and from the grave in 1994. People also voted in Mongomery and Prince Georges County without listed addresses as required by law. We believe and diplomats may have voted this way also. Plus Tacoma Park, Maryland lets foriegners vote.
Since we didn't stop it in 1994 because of gutless leaders and corrupt judges and Attorney Gen. Joe Curran in 1998 we likely had 150,000 to 200,000 illegal votes, and we will likely have as many this year or whatever number they need to "win".
If Kennedy gets enough fraud "votes" and Erlich doesn't fight the fraud like hell and call out protesters he will have no chance of being the next governor. The crooked judges in this state won't just give it to him because there's proof. Proof doesn't meant squat in Maryland. We had pictures of thousands of abandoned hoses in 1994 and lots of witneses, including the men who worked (some who were black and democrats) who for the company that moved the voting machines have testified in affadavids and were willing to testify in court that the machines (by the hundreds) were tampered with.

When I went to vote this morning in Montgomery County it correctly said Independent.

When I went to vote today my name had been removed from the voter roles. I kindly demanded they let me vote. And they looked up my name and found it had been placed on an inactive list even they I vote every election. They said I was purged because they mail me a letter and I didn't respond so they removed me from the voter role. I told them I was afraid I me have been purged or something, I had a bad feeling about it today. Anyway the woman (voting judge) finally called headquarters but was getting no answer and she finally got through on another line (There is more to the story but I will leave it out for now.) and they knew I was going to be persistant so they relented and let me sign an affadavid and vote.

It only happened in one district, the 19th I think. (Bet it's near PG.)
Wouldn't these be programed centrally in one place and then sent out to the districts??? (Where they can then be tampered with)

They can be tampered with by whoever programs the machines or anyone who ties into the modem or phone line or satellite connection that transmits the vote counting. Or any corrupt voting judges.
The problem is with computerized voting we the citizens have no way of independently verifying the vote count or even proving computerized vote fraud.

Check this out:
One woman who attempted to vote at Eaton Elementary School in Northwest said she was told that her precinct had been changed to another site more than a mile away. She said she was able to vote at Eaton by special ballot, but wasn't allowed to vote for an initiative and referendum on the back of the ballot or for advisory neighborhood commissioner seats.

...30 precincts in the county had a software bug that identified all voters as Democrats. Although the error quickly brought memories of the
major problems the voting system experienced in the September primary, election officials said today's difficulty was a simple problem that would not affect the vote.
(And who can they say so positively that this won't affect the vote???
When after all this time they are still have widespread problems?)

The problem is with computerized voting we the citizens have no way of independently verifying the vote count or even proving computerized vote fraud. Electronic systems can be designed to be extremely resistant against fraud, moreso even than paper ballots [though the paper-electronic hybrids are probably best]. Unfortunately, many systems use flash memory or other storage technologies which may be altered without a trace.

No...you just have to be a Democrat (dead or alive) for your vote to actually count in Maryland.

Electronic systems can be designed to be extremely resistant against fraud......
Not if the programmers(designers) are involved in the fraud and no one from the public has access to the computer codes and programs(as the situation is now).
