FLORIDA VOTERS CLAIM MACHINES 'BROKEN', VOTED FOR MCBRIDE, MARKED IT AS AS BUSH
"I voted for McBride, but the machine counted it as Bush. It did this three times. The polling worker finally said, 'We have to reprogram this machine. Another person was having the same trouble while I was there.'"
So claimed a caller to Southern Florida's WQAM-AM and the highly-rated radio talkprogram NEIL ROGERS SHOW.
"I'll tell you right now, this election is fixed!" roared Rogers, who has been in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale market for more than 30 years. "Based on a few early calls, it is going to be a wild, wild time!"
Touch-screen and other high-tech voting machines make their full-scale debut Tuesday.

Republicans DO NOT cheat. The rats should know that by now and trust us. Republicans made the voting machines and we will tell them that they work fine, this should be enough. Why wouldn't they trust us? This is so ridiculous. They commit fraud we protect the system.

Are these touch screens?
I'm in Duval county and when I voted at the primary we had to fill in a circle then put the ballot into a machine. How can I make sure my vote is counted correctly?

STAY ON THE WEST COAST!!!!
I am desperately trying to figure out a way to relocate to Tampa. Tired of the ridiculous living expenses and horrible traffic here in Miami. Most importantly, I want my girls to be brought up in a smaller, more conservative community. The key is being able to secure a job first and that's tricky to accomplish from 4 hours away! ;)
I love Florida, but I can't wait to get out of Miami!!

I voted in Florida this morning. I have no confidence in optical scanners. They're as good as the programmer who compiles the vote. And that person could be a democrat.
To make Florida voters feel better, there were sign tacked around saying "turn off cell phones and beepers." What does that mean? That if your cell phone is on, 500 votes go from Jeb to a random democrat? Shades of "Flori-duh"
Years ago I played bridge with some of the kids who rigged the Chicago elections for Kennedy. I have limited "faith", I like a paper trail.

What this means is McBride is getting the heck beat out of him.

Me either.........this is just another "conjured" problem, formulated to make it LOOK like it's the "mean, rich, Republicans"
They've had time to perfect the strategy and we should call them on it NOW........right back in their face!!!!!!

Save yourself some money. The next boom area in Florida is between Manatee County (Bradenton) and Fort Myers. This area is exploding and real estate is still relatively cheap compared to Tampa, Orlando and Miami. Take a look at Fort Myers and Charlotte County first.

Exactly.

Good morning to you, cyncooper!
My husband and I will be going to vote in an hour or so.
I said on a thread last night that I hope the turnout is better than it was for the primaries. The poll workers at our precinct that day were so excited when we walked in at 2 in the afternoon because they were so BORED!. We were only voters #34 and 35 after all those hours...and we went then to avoid lines. :) Was pretty sad.

FL was fine until the Cubans took over South Florida The cuban americans were the ones who saved us in 2000. Don't be bashing them.
If it wasn't for them you would be living with President Al Gore for at least 4 years.

These must be the same idiots who can keep 50 bingo cards going at once as well as simultaneously conduct 12 instant messenger conversations with gradnchildren. You know, the same "senior citizen" discount shoppers who can figure the sales tax in their heads and know if the scanner at Target rounded the percentage coupon up by one-cent. These are the same ones who know the every real estate commission ever paid, the cost of the latest special platter from Denny's versus McDonald's, and which ATM and gas station across town will save you $.50. I'm late it this thread, but that was very good!
I'm still laughing.

There is absolutely no way you can tell if internally a vote for McBride was registered as a vote for Bush. However if the wrong touch screen area was pressed for Bush instead of for McBride, then they merely retouch the hi lited area and it will reset so that the voter can then press the proper area over. Once the voter is satified they just press the area to vote. Then and only then is the vote recorded internally.
This is just a bunch of Bull and the person makinmg the claim should be held accountable.

The Dems are doing everything they can think of to get their hands on those ballots. Those counties that have had above the national average for years of "voting for more than one candidate" causing the ballot to be thrown out. I recall during the Florida mess in 2000 a former Dem said the he knew a master of cheating that commented that if he can get his hands on those ballots, under any kind of ruse, 9 times out of ten he can win that election. The excuse of the butterfly ballot was a cover to get their hands on those ballots.
