Just voted straight Republican although I don't think my senatorial candidate will win. Sorry America, looks like you will have to put up with Karl Lenin in the Senate for the next six years. You can't be any sorrier then I am.

On the proposals it was Yes, No, NO and HELL NO!

Just finished voting here in Ohio. Unfortunately, the ballot is RINO heavy but we do have an important Supreme Court race going. The unions were out in force and were blatantly violating the 100 yard exclusion zone at our polling place. My wife and I just had our first child 8 weeks ago and they wanted to know if he was going to vote Democrat. Insert your own joke there.

Good luck to us all tonight.

I know we're supposed to believe in sanity of the ballot booth, but I have no problem listing who I voted for:

I used to believe in the sanity of the ballot booth, but the 2000 elections showed it to all be a circus.

That being said, the sanctity of the ballot box exists to protect voters from being coerced or bribed into voting a certain way. Of course, someone may be asked for whom they voted, and may volunteer the information, but among us mortals only they themselves will ever know for certain how they actually voted.

I was sick as a dog today, so no work & had to cancel a doctor's appointment. I even called the Rep. party to see if they were driving folks to the polls, because I wasn't sure I could make it. He seemed to indicate they really didn't have an organized program for driving people to the polls, which I thought was upsetting. He also said more 'Rats were voting than Reps. I said, yes, well, that's to be expected, considering how heavily 'Rat Volusia is. Anyway, I dragged myself down to the polls around 3 and was able to vote, no waiting. I believe they were indicating that they were short of some ballots (& expecting more). I was too under the weather to try and find out what was going on. My precinct consistently has screw-ups. That's happened before to me, and last time my ballot was missing a runoff race that should have been on the ballot.

Illinois voting data-

Checked in at 4PM and voted Republican all the way down the ticket. Jim Ryan for Governor, Ray LaHood for US House, Jim Durkin for US Senate, Larry Bomke for IL Senate, Rich Brauer for IL House.

Two polling places share one location. The one I voted at had 515 registered voters. 170 people had already voted by 4PM and an additional 70 absentee ballots were cast previously. That's 240 voters out of 515. A 47 % turn out. The judges expected a steady increase in voter traffic as people were beginning to get off work and streaming in to vote. Looks like it will easily surpass 60%. That would be considered a good / heavy turn out for a non presidential election.

The question is... what does it mean ? Several contested races at the local and state level. The President was in our capital Sunday which is just 30 miles away.

The other precinct located at this site had 450 registered voters and had 170 voters cast ballots by 4PM. They had 10 absentee ballots as well. That's 180 voters out of 450 by 4PM. A 40% turnout so far, but like the other precinct located here, the heaviest turn out was yet to materialize (it will however.)

Hubby and I just returned from voting. Picked up Dad and Sister on the way. All four voted straight Republican and no on Prop A (missouri).

We moved last year to our new home and re-did our voter registration for the new address.
Neither one of our names were in the book. So they gave us this paper to sign. No identification required. Maybe I can have an identical twin tonight?? LOL nah, I ain't a democrat. LOL

I looked around and no one was being asked for identification. People were just asked their name, signed the book, and then sat at the tables filling in the little circles with a black marker. Is this normal? I never noticed before. Before we moved and we would vote I always knew the person, so there was no reason to ID me.

Voted absentee in SW Fla. (FOR JEB!) 2 wks. ago in case of hurricane, death...and because my Pres. asked. (^:

Thank you all for your sign waving, sign monitoring and restoration today!

FV, I did some sign waving for you and our troops today. Took my poster-sized double-sided cardboard flag, wrote "UNITED WE STAND" on one side, "BUSH" on the other, pinned my large red JEB sign on the back of my American eagle t-shirt, pinned a small sequinned flag on my navy blue baseball cap, stuck a flag in my blue purse, took off at 8:30 am and marched for 15 miles or so from my neighborhood, a few miles down church row (poll central) and back down US 41 through a heavily minority part of town (no McBride signs, I received some stares, but some smiles and a few 'hellos', and some cheers from drivers) on to downtown where my feet gave out around 12:30. Cheated and took a bus most of the way home (with my JEB! sign still pinned to my back), walked the last few miles down another busy street that leads to the polls....all during the walk holding my "UNITED WE STAND" flag straight and high, turning to face heavy traffic and smiling politely. Only ONE man stuck his tongue out, lol! Most drivers passed on by, but at least a few dozen honked, pumped their fists, gave a thumbs-up and clapped....including seniors, mothers, motorcycle guys, truckers, and police officers. What a kick. (^:

Thank you all for the inspiration. FV, if you hadn't come down with a cold, I never would have taken to the streets today. All in all, it was a great time.

Was waiting to hear someone else talk about the judges. Have any of the networks covered the retention vote for the FLSC? For the record I voted against EVERY judge on the ballot.

Just got home from voting, got a late start at it. The polls in my neighborhood were full of voters. I asked the election workers about turnout and they said it had been very good. Glad to hear that! Hated though, how I could have been anyone saying I was ladyinred since there is no ID required. I hate this!!!!!

GO Simon!
GO GOP!
