How ever you want to read them ..... but Zog has pushed all the numbers to a final number he's projecting after factoring in his sauce... the final GA number is as follows;

Nov. 2 Final Results
Max Cleland (Democrat) 49 50
Saxby Chambliss(Republican) 49 48

Colorado is looking very shaky also. I hope Owens has long coat tails.

I am sick of polls.

Well in just 24 hours, you will get a two-month respite. Then, after the holidays, the 2004 presidential polls will begin to appear.

I'll wait until tomarrow. FOX is really saying good things about Republicans.
Most polled are dumpocraps who sit by the phone on their butts all day.
I like to hear good polls, but they don't mean that much.
We're going to do just fine. Remember the military voters?

The Minn Star Tribune and Pioneer Press polls both came out on Sunday. The PP poll was Mason-Dixon. The Star Trib poll was from a polling outfit that I'd never heard of. I looked at the "specifics" of the poll, and they were very strange...I swear it was some guy in his basement!

Have any Minnesotans here had experience with this polling group before (sorry, I can't remember the name).

401-k garbage is part of his push-polling. ... It's going to come down to the Louisiana runoff to decide who controls the Senate.

whats with the 401-K Krap?

Actually, read Michael Barone's latest column. He presents three new "groups" whose undercurrents influence elections: 1) Investors (the 401(k) group), 2) Social Security seniors, and 3) Latinos.

Barone says that investors are an increasingly Replublican trending group, that Social Security seniors will never again see the clout they have now, because they are dying off and the Gen-X'rs don't have the same pull towards Social Security that today's seniors have, and that Latino's are skewing heavily towards Democrats, but those numbers are dwindling towards Republican at a steady pace.

It's total bs.

Our GOP and independent state numbers show Norm gaining across the board.

It all depends on getting out the vote.

I've been on the ground here since this morning's debate doing some coordination and it looks REAL GOOD IF WE GET OUT THE VOTE - 50% chance of rain/snow mix, high of 40.

This IS the critical race and we need Minnesotans motivated, voting and seeing to it that everyone asks 3 people to go with them.

Yep independents and undecideds can make big swings when they finally come onboard with a decision. It just depends upon what the issue(s) is that hits their hot button... These are the ones that all the candidates have been playing for during the past few weeks..... imo

Gosh, I don't know anything, so here's my guess: Hutchinson loses, Allard is too close, Chambliss wins, Sanunu wins in a skinny, Coleman wins going away (after watching the MN debate twice, Mondale is unable to actually function coherently in even a senile senate), Talent wins in a close one (if the law regarding poll closings is obeyed in St Louis), Dole wins but with Irksome Bowels gassing up the court system in NC, Louisiana goes to a runoff and Landrieu is finally rejected, and the pubbies hold onto the House with a gain of three seats. Sadly, republicans lose too many governor's races this time, but Davis loses in a tight one which gets ajudicated in the Calif courts. Jeb slam dunks McSlide and Lindsey Graham wins in SC, then offers his 'opponent' a job. [Just kidding on the job, but the rest is not so far off.]

Good for you, now go out and help someone by 1)caring enough to and 2)reminding them this is their only voice, the only time the people working on their behalves to guide their lives will hear from them when it matters.

My mistake on that late poll - I recall Jesse came from the back of the pack at the 11th hour in '98, is that not correct?

Today, I had my VCR record the Minnesota debate between Coleman and Mondale.

Listening to the live thread, I have to applaud my fellow freepers for doing such an outstanding job in presenting an accurat commentary.

I would judge the debate as a Tie, with a standing ovation to the format of the debate. THIS WAS A REAL DEBATE!

As expected, the local TV programs edited it and presented Mondale as the winner. Those that actually watched it, would alward Coleman perhaps 2 points extra.

Both sides did a good job, and that is what an honest debate is all about.

How the election goes tomarrow, I have no idea. But listening to the people around my office, Coleman will win.

Why? Two weeks ago, nobody wanted Coleman. Today, they are excited about him!

If you look closely, the Libertarian vote is enough to push the Republican candidate to victory.

Think the media will focus on these numbers as much as they did on Nader's in 2000?
