Wow Lawgirl. Sounds like someone was looking out for you for getting you such a great seat. I hope you thanked the officer who let you go in early. (He probably was a closet Bush supporter who couldn't counter the official line)
Keep working on getting those views. Who knows... maybe next time, you'll have one of those VIP tickets and get what OWF got. 8-)
Thanks for the writeup.

Shopping list: Digital camera for lawgirl. Hair dye for WVNan.ROFL! Good thing I didn't show any photos of me or you'd put "jenny craig" on the list for me.
Hey Lawgirl, I am sure that President Bush saw you today. When you have a huge audience like that, it's hard to see individual faces. It's the tall person, or the one wearing a bright color that catches your attention....hey, you were both! LOL!
ROFL!! Hey! Yeah!! Maybe it is possible that he saw me. I wonder how good his eyesight is. I kept nodding my head, so maybe he could just see that orange blob going up and down. LOL!

It is still something just to be in his presence, isn't it GWfan? He is amazing. I am jealous of your brother!
Miagrey- Sounds like someone was looking out for you for getting you such a great seat.
A guardian angel perhaps? Know what? I never believed in Karma before, but after OWF and mine's experiences, I have to believe it in maybe just a little.
Altura- glad you liked the report. Maybe SS guy was there and recognized ME! LOL! :-O

It is just like he is talking to a roomful of friends. I am still blown away. I never saw Ronald Reagan, but I have to sayGeorge W Bush is one hell of a communicator. He made you feel like he was talking to just you, in a room of 7000 people. And I SWEAR he looked at me, at least 5 or 6 times.Yes, yes, yes!!
An amazing communicator!! Passionate, funny, personal, INTELLIGENT!!!
And lawgirl.......he DID look at you! I know just what you mean!! I saw him look right over at me and smile.......or maybe he was smiling at the pumpkin next to me......but, no....the young lady on my left (opposite the pumpkin lady) thought he looked directly at her too!
You know, next time, you'll have to come to West Virginia to see him. It's a very small, Democratic state, and there aren't nearly so many GOP bigwhigs, so the little guys (like WVNan, Eric and me) get a few more perks!
I am SO glad you got to see him up close! HE's GORGEOUS, isn't he???

Great post! You go girl! I'm sorry you didn't get to shake his hand or give him a kiss but I'm sure it will happen next time.
The way I see things, we all are going to be major campaign workers for W 2004 so I'm sure we will have opportunities again.
Also, don't feel bad about the pictures. I brought my camera and was so excited watching his plane land that I took a TON of pictures of the plane and then....RAN OUT OF FILM!!! What a dip I was.
Photos today are wonderful. W looks so happy.
So far, most appear to be reporting that the GOP has a shot at taking the Senate. Others say 50/50. None are saying the Dems will gain!
At the risk of being repetitive, it all comes down to
TURNOUT, TURNOUT, TURNOUT!!
I'm a nervous wreck and have absolutely NO FINGERNAILS left!

I am so jealeous of those of you that see our President in person. I wanted so bad to go to SMU tonight but I had a prior committment that I couldn't get out of at Church. I'm going to see him in person one day.

I made a special point of watching Brit Hume today. Kept waiting for the story about the amazon woman known only as lawgirl! LOL!

Yes, I was really inspired and had so much hope for our country after seeing him.
If I hadn't been so sick, I would have seen him in Flagstaff. I will be ready and willing to help with the 2004 campaign as well. I think your hat was great!

Ya know, there were situations in my life which changed my outlook on how like really works. When I realized this, and accepted this, my life changed 180*. It was quite amazing!

LOL..the pumpkin lady. lawgirl, if you think your orange hat stood out you should have seen the lady in the pumpkin costume who stood in front of me. The cameras took tons of pictures of her, and by proximity us. I never saw a one of them on the TV however.

I am so glad you think he looked at me too. I am trying to be rational about it---but it's hard LOL! But seriously I think he did see me. Especially considering how I was about 14 inches above everyone else.
I was lined up right there to see him if only he came our way---I think part of it was that he had SUCH a full schedule--two more stops after us even. I really think that if he had had the time, he would have turned and come down my aisle and seen us. *sigh* ;-D
And my lord he is gorgeous. He looked so familiar that at times it was hard to really be surprised. I mean, it WAS hard to believe that there he was--there was our W in the flesh, but at the same time, I have all his mannerisms and looks and gestures memorized-- I know his face so well- that it felt just like the most natural thing in the world that there he was. He felt very familiar.
After all, I've followed him every single day for the past two years, so--it sounds ridiculous but he really is familiar to me.

Maybe she knows how affectionate she is, and how easy it would be for herself to be a little too unlady like ?? I could be missing it, but the look on her face, and her body language, when he kisses her in public give me the impression that she knows she can't encourage him ... in public. ;-)
