I got this in Freeper Mail:

Jim Moore the (I) candidate has petitioned a Ramsey County judge to either stop the debate or include the third party candidates. It's true, the rules state that the candidates party must have received 5% in the past election, however they tried to set new rules that the candidate must be receiving 3% in the most recent polls.

I think it's a DFL planned scheme, and Jim Moore is helping them to continue to hide Mondale until after the election! Moore is a dem turned I.

Carnahan's poor performance will cost her, she will lose.

Man, I hope so. I saw her on C-SPAM once try to spout off about perscription drugs--and certain brands. She "had a friend" who took a blood thinning agent--so she was naturally an "expert."

Then she realized she was about to face Sen Bill Frist (R), who is a heart surgeon. She must have had to go to the little girls room in the senate cloak room--because she never came back.

It gets better--Jesse's announcing his pick for interim senator at 10:30 a.m.--yes, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DEBATE!

Ventura hates to be upstaged. I'll be so glad when he goes back to wearing feather boas.

Reagan and Carter was important. I think “the gipper” was bemused by the little preacher from Georgia.

Nobody thought Reagan would win the election!

O'Brien in MA will lose because of her agressive personality.

Mondale could lose his bowels at the podium and cause a stampede for the exits!

Do you think we should go ahead and put up our Christmas decorations TODAY, while we still are semi-sane?

Fritz is probably still cramming for the debate.....20 years is hard to catch up on. (Rip Van Winkle) His wife filled in for him last night at the rally. She might be waiting in the wings now. :-)

A little excerpt here from a James Lilkes rant found HERE (I still can't make that danged thing red instead of blue DOH!!)He quotes and comments on a Mondale speech

We have a United Nations. Let's use it. We have allies. Let's enlist them.

I got some steaks once from a company in Omaha; they were packed in dry ice. It took less than an afternoon to thaw. Mondale made this speech several days after he was unpacked and reanimated by the DFL, so he had the chance to catch up on current events. Surely he knows other nations are on board for Iraq. Which leads to one of three conclusions:

1. Mondale is a blatant racist. Arab allies don’t count. Turkish allies don’t count. He thinks we need more European - i.e., white allies. Is that what you mean, sir? No?

2. Then he believes that we should not go to war unless we have allies. If Germany, France, and other assorted puckermouths spit a nein and a non, then we ought to stand down. Our failure to secure their assent will mean our cause is wrong. This is perfectly in line with something a French gentlemen told me the other day, when I asked why China should have veto power over US military action: “Because they are one-quarter of the world’s population.” Ah. Of course.

Is that what you mean, Mr. Vice-President? No?

3. Then perhaps he believes in his heart that any excuse to avoid military action is a good one, as long as it results in a shiny medal doled out by Nordic bureaucrats.

It’s probably three. He concludes:

That's the belief that won Jimmy Carter the Nobel Peace Prize. That's the course that the first President Bush took in the gulf war. And that's where Paul Wellstone stood, and that's where I will stand in the United States Senate.

Meaning: “I’ll give France a veto over national security issues.” It’s like his promise in the 1984 DNC nomination speech to raise taxes. You don’t know what’s more amusing - that such nonsense is trotted out as a badge of pride and courage, or that the speechwriters intended it as a line that brought the hall to its feet.

Those Dem coaches can be pretty effective -- When Ted Kennedy debated Mitt Romney in the Senate race a few years back, I was amazed at how well they had prepped him. (Of course, Romney was terrible, and they had more time with Ted -- even got him to lose weight!)
