Yes! It's finally here, my exclusive account of last weekend's dramatic freep of Gray Davis! We almost get a SWAT team sent after us, and we manage to intimidate Gray Davis into noticing us -- right on video!
Yes, indeed, this one was a triumph for me - Garry South and Gray Davis in the same video, looking delightfully sleazy!
A warning to people easily susceptable to boredom: Although I have tried to minimize possible ill effects, this video contains excerpts from some extraordinarily dull speeches. While most people will find the entertainment value of later parts of the video to make up for it (and then some!) sensitive people and those who truly loathe dull speakers and speeches should not view this video.
As always, feel free to ping anyone I didn't mention. I'm really tired and I'm sure I missed more people than usual :-(.
I'm hoping to have the Olvera Street video by tomorrow evening - fatigue caught up with me :-(. But this one should help make up for it.

Two great news items had arrived. First, studies showed a whopping ten percent more Hispanics are identifying themselves as Hispanic Republicans rather than Democrats, making Latino voters the fastest growing segment of the party...No surprise here for FReepers!

The Democrats were lucky we were at this event, because otherwise the poor Firefighters would have fallen asleep from boredom.
Picture it: An evening of impossibly dull speeches, all alike. The speaker thanks the firefighters for inviting him, thanks the firefighters for all the hard work they are doing, takes about a minute tooting his own horn, and tells them to be sure to walk precincts and talk to people and get out there to vote!
By the time this pattern is repeated five or six times, even the dumbest Firefighter is going to have gotten the idea.
Well, we made their evening a whole lot less dull.
It started, though, with a mistake and a SWAT team...
