What FGS and I were also thinking, is once this letter is complete, it be sent to the Attorney General, John Ashcroft, on behalf of certain individuals from FR (and perhaps, on behalf of FR, if JR permits, whom we have not yet asked).
What say you all?
Missing Voting Mechanism Recovered
Police Say Florida Democrat Had a Votomatic' in His Car
By Chris Vlasto and David Ruppe
Nov. 15 Several days after presidential votes were tallied in what has become the hotbed of Florida's post-election confusion, police in Palm Beach County confiscated a ballot-box mechanism from the car of a well-known local Democrat.
The mechanism, called a "Votomatic," did not contain any ballots. It's a device used on some types of ballot boxes to punch votes through ballot cards, which are then tallied by computers. According to a police report filed at the Palm Beach County sheriff's office and obtained by ABCNEWS, Irving Slosberg, 53, pulled the mechanism from his car and handed it over to police on Nov. 11 after denying to a county government employee that he had it. When told of the incident, Palm Beach County's supervisor of elections, Theresa LePore, declined to press charges, according to the report. "She noted that this incident did occur during the hand count of the presidential election and LePore stated she did not wish to pursue further this matter at this time due to extenuating circumstances, it said. No further action was taken.
As far as I know, nothing happened to this man, who illegal had a voting machine in his car, after lying about having one. Gee, wonder what a Rat was going to do with a voting machine?
Oh he was probably going to rush it over to one of the Republican precincts that was short on them. < /sarcasm >
Perhaps one of the can enlighten the rest of y'all.
I'm all ears.....(I hate it when you do that! lol)
Here's the link to the last past of that thread if y'all want to follow it. Do keep praying for this lady!
You're welcome to do with it as you see fit. I would enjoy seeing it on the evening news some day(right...in my dreams!).

The shorter the better. In fact if were possible to condense it down to a single page it would likely get a better reception than a two or three page work. Additionally, my thoughts were to, once we've prepared a servicable correspondence for the AG we take it to the rest of the board for all Freepers interested in thanking and supporting AG Ashcroft join in. They could copy, print and send the letter as is, or make any additions/changes they feel inclined to make. It's possible he could receive several thousand letters??? Lurkers have been shown to be a pretty active bunch when asked to do mailers.
We should furnish addys for snail mail and fax numbers for those that don't mind spending a few pennies more for an immediate hit. Phone number for the AG's office for those that like to reach out and touch someone??? Also, I think it would be a good idea to CC the RNC so they're aware of our grassroots efforts in helping to clean up the vote fraud epidemic.
A reminder that IMO, we should definitely include some thanks for their contribution in combatting the problem this last election.

Agreed, 100%; one page letter is much better than too long, and definitely cc to RNC whatever is sent to AG, and agree with your other suggestions, too; however, sweetliberty, STR, and Budge had a meeting today, discussing next step and this thread.....let's wait and see what they've come up with, then, we'll help them do whatever they think is best for their goals. We can also write our own separate letters, of course; however, for now, I am waiting for their "plan." : )
Standing by in Texas ; )

Hehehe, I'm sorry NM, but I was hoping sweetliberty would post a synopsis. I was in pain and pooped from only my second day back to work and was (still am) afraid I would mess it up.
Basically, STR thinks we should not focus on this past election, but concentrate on the next election, 2004.
NOTE TO SWEETLIBERTY: Can you elaborate on this, please? I'm sounding like we were saying 'drop the whole thing here,' which is not the case!
We need to point out that we, Republicans and Democrats are sick of the cheating and fraud in what is the only bastion of freedom and liberty left in the world. We can site the outrageous number of cases where people have been known to commit fraud in voting, who are never prosecuted, who should be. If only some are, it may set an example.
STR suggested we might meet with the NAACP and find out if anyone in that organization would be honest enough to stand with us in this battle. That alone might send a message to the powers behind the corruption that we, as a united nation are sick to death of what voting, a (sacred) privilege, what hundreds of thousands of Americans of all races, religion and color, have died for, has become.
Hopefully sweetliberty and STR can add to this, since this is only part of our conversation.
