I'm wondering what your all-time tinfoil or Art Bell-like thread in FR has been. You know, the five thousand words paragraphs, single spaced, no capitals, screed by those expecting the end of the world, the take over of the world by the Illuminati, or the return of Walter Mondale...wait, that may actually happen.
FreeRepublic has been a source of news and commentary, but it also provides information on some of the most unusual topics out there.

OMNI magazine once published a list of the top rumors. The number one rumor was that Dr. Pepper is carbonated prune juice. Years have passed, and I have heard nothing more about this. Apparently a veil of secrecy has been thrown over the entire matter, and those who know the truth have been silenced, and even Freepers dare not discuss it!
