THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!
Darlin' I don't know what I would have done without you and your help--all the phone calling you did was above and beyond belief....and those that helped Darlin' to know I was in need, thank you so much too!
I cannot tell you all what it was like to have your support in a time when I felt like a deer in headlights. Free Republic posters are the best of the best.
I have told the story of how you all came to my aid when I needed you most, and none of you even know me! You are all what America is all about. The goodness you shared with me that evening will never be forgotten, and it was and is appreciated more than you will ever know.
My father was a wonderful man. To give you an example, he used to cut coupons when he and my mom would go to the grocery store. Often times, my mother would tell me stories of how he would put coupons for diapers next to the diaper brand, so that young mothers who might be on a tight budget would be able to use them. Bank tellers, post office employees and even grocery store clerks would come out from behind their desks to hug my mother and tearfully tell her that they didn't know if a sweeter man existed. I was so proud to be his daughter.
People DO notice if you are nice to them. I noticed your kindness, and will do my best to honor you all by passing that kindness on to others.
Thank you all so much again! NordP

Thanks for sharing about your dad. Those memories are a treasure. I have some similar memories of my dad which sustained me after I lost him.

We're all so glad you're back! Have been thinking about you, knowing that this has been a painful time for you and your family. Enjoyed your stories about your father. There is something so special about dads, and hopefully the wonderful memories you have will carry you through this time. Maybe prayers from us Dosers will help.
Hope you'll feel up to posting a palm tree or two one day soon, but take your time. We're all here for ya.

I was so glad to find this report from you on this post from last night. I had been wondering about you and how you were doing.
You do know that your sweet Daddy is in the hands of the Lord now, and so happy, and so free from all of the cares of this world. I really hope that brings you some peace and comfort.
We love you, and will continue to remember you and your family in our prayers.
