Rush: Minnesota is now a dead heat again
Rush Limbaugh

Rush has just reported on his show that internal Republican polling now shows Minnesota to be a statistical dead heat once again, Mondale having dropped 7 points. He cites the Democrat funerally (my borrowed term from another talk show) for Wellstone as one reason, particular among independent voters who were turned off by the tone of the event and Ventura's walking out.

Wednesday morning Coleman's campaign had 25 and 50 dollar donations coming in so fast they couldn't keep up with it. Good thing I donated via the website then!

I agree. In most cases, I am embarrassed to admit that my State elected this Doofus. In this case, however, the Doofus did good. (I believe in the sanctity of the Governor's office - and was offended when former-Governor Perpich was referred to as "Governor Goofy". I have, however, never accepted Jesse as my Governor.)

Not Butts.
Mondale said "Asses", he said "Asses"!
Just reporting the facts.......

Further internals as per Rush None of those numbers are encourgaging in the least, when one considers the 3-5 points (minimum) of fluff that usually exists in this type of internal polling.

In most cases, I am embarrassed to admit that my State elected this Doofus I know what you mean. I'm glad he did the right thing. And the clip of the interview with him on Wednesday (which FNC kept showing over and over) was really something. When Jesse talked about the crowd booing Trent Lott, his disgust was almost palpable.
Agreeing with him is a first for me.

It is ghoulish how the pro-abort, pro-euthenasia party seems to benefit from dead candidates.Wow, that comment deserves repeating. I shivered when I read that.

Partisan internal polls are only released if they reflect favorably on their respective candidate. That's why we heard much about, but never saw, those Democratic polls in New Jersey showing him trailing by double digits. Still, I concur -- you have to take these things with a big grain of salt. Tho I'm not sure the so-called "independent" polls (i.e., the ones put out by newspapers and television stations) are all that independent.

There was a post the day after the rally/funeral that said the poll with the 7 pt lead for Mondale was skewed Democratic.
To: frmrda
That runoff could decide balance of power and Racicot has said if that is the case the GOP will pour between $30-$40 million in there in a month. If Racicot himself had run instead of wasting his time at the RNC, we would be looking at a Chafee-free majority in the bag. Perhaps he has a "hairdresser" past also?
