Racicot has said if that is the case the GOP will pour between $30-$40 million in there in a month.

Good heavens. Combine that with the money the Democrats are likely to put in and you could almost buy everybody in the state a new car.

The current governor of MN, Ventura, is not a Democrat. According to the polls, the Republican candidate for governor was leading before the ghoulfest. The ghoulfest is likely to have boosted his numbers. It may have also boosted the numbers of the Indy candidate for gov, Tim Penny. But I think we can be pretty sure it did not boost the numbers of the Dem.

Bottom line, it has now become most unlikely that the new governor of MN starting in January will be the Dem.

Could be that he meant that Mondale had shifted in relation to Coleman by 7. Or could there have been a different internal poll with a wider gap at some point?

I truly have no idea. When campaigns start talking about their internal polls, you only ever hear the good news. So perhaps they had unreleased results that were quite bad for Coleman that have dramatically shifted in the past couple of days, so now it's time to release all the info.

In any case, I do not have a hard time believing Coleman is moving up in the polls. His campaign is really responding well to the Dem's Tuesday night fiasco well, and the Mondale handlers seem to be floundering.

Well, I have always thought Jesse was an idiot and he has proven it time and time again. But, this time he did what was right.

If I were Fritz I would be VERY careful not to travel by air AFTER the election if he wins.

If he slides more in the polls, they might not wait until post-election. They might just bump him off and shout "NEXT!"

"I sort of like Pep Rally for Death title,,Lucianne coined it." It is ghoulish how the pro-abort, pro-euthenasia party seems to benefit from dead candidates.

Rush said that the tracking poll over the weekend was a two point lead for mondale, then he a monday night poll show it jump to seven but the wendsday/thrusday poll show a tied and that inds was turn off by the rally. Also in some of other races like NH, AK, NC, GA, and COL I think the NRA who has went underground for the most part (compared to 2000 with they spent most money on TV and Radio.) they will be a huge get out the vote push.

I"m not sure if it's a good thing to have this info out there. Just more reason for the 'rats to cheat.

What? You don't think the Democrats have their own internal polls? They know what's going on.

At least Clinton had the demonic common sense to stop laughing and start crying on cue after Ron Brown's funeral - upon seeing that a camera was tracing him.

I've been listening to Rush and heard this polling data.

Another issue perculating under the radar are the handful of honest democrat leaders who must be disgusted with their party. There's going to be a time when folks like Moynahan and Nunn begin to speak out about the sleeze at the DNC so loud that the media cannot ignore them.

Don;t hold your breath. Moynihan allowed Hillary!ous to carpet bag his Senate seat over a Hispanic woman that at least had paid her political dues in the state.(Velasquez.)

More importantly, there may well be a lower turnout which would favor the Republican.

a bit of schadenfreude would be if mondale and lautenberg won but the libs become the minority (tee-hee)

More valuable in this race than Bush is Laura-- who is also visiting for Coleman.

I thought it was Nita Lowey who was going to run before Hillary downed a can of Instant New Yorker and ran.
