Since Democrats like Johnson and Clinto were responsible for deaths of people like JFK and Vince Foster, why not just go with the TRULY logical flow and put the blame where it belongs - the Dems had a lot more to gain by Wellstone's death than the Republicans, look at the nice heart-string-pulling "memorial" they got to do.....

To solve a murder, ask "Cui bono?"

The easy answer: Terry McAuliffe, Tom Daschle and the Democrat Party.

The GOP benefitted from Wellstone's presence. He exerted a leftward pull that forced Dems to give lip service to pacify the militant left wing. Luckily, he couldn't make them risk their jobs on principle, so they almost always voted against him on those issues most sacred to him.

I'be been wondering how long it would take for the Left to come up with some rancid crap like this ! ( Answer: Not very !! )

It's the perfect kind of lie : It can be claimed the Bush Administration has deliberately compelled the FAA, FBI, and other investigative agencies to " suppress the truth ".

Naturally, after Election Day, they'll say : " Conspiracy ? What conspiracy ? WE never suggested a conspiracy ! "

Mr. Rall seems to have learned his disinformatzia tactics well !

This writer could at least have done enough research to find out that John Heinz was a Republican.

George W. Bush and his henchmen stole the presidency.

By 'his henchman' I presume he means 'the electorate'...

I emailed this jerk at: tedrall@aol.com

His reply follows:

I am constantly amazed at the inability of people to read simple English, but this is likely the result of decades of budget cuts in public education. As I wrote, many people are asking whether Wellstone's death was caused by foul play. While I personally doubt that there is any cause to believe that, the suspicions are not entirely unreasonable. More interestingly, the fact that liberals are even entertaining this notion now is a tribute to the unique atmosphere of vitriol introduced not by Democrats, but be George W. Bush and his entire unelected administration. This is what the piece is about--the fact that Bush has acted so extremely that people now believe him capable of anything.

One might argue that such thoughts should not be discussed in public, but as a believer in the First Amendment I see no topic as off-limits.

Very truly yours,
Ted Rall

Well you know those democrat tactics - blame your opponent for the things you yourself are doing.

Wouldn't surprise me if the Clintons are involved. Look at the list of their friends who unfortunately died after knowing them. The underbelly of the Clinton administration may be showing itself.

Remember - the Bush administration reflects honor and dignity - not the Clinton administration.

Rall is showing is ignorance by espousing tinfoil theories from DUh's website.

The left had a lot more to gain (and until their little Nueremberg rally backfired, they were gaining from Wellstone's death).

Ted Rall is an admitted anarchist-socialist. If he wants to deny how left people lean, take this into consideration.

I will say this. I saw Rall stand before an audience largely comprised of editorial cartoonists and liberal librarians (there were other cartoonists and historians present) and agree that President Clinton should be impeached and removed from offfice. The left did not take kindly to his words. I only saw a presentation from one conservative editorial cartoonist and he was given a chilled response from the crowd (it was an apolitical gathering to discuss comic art at OSU).

Come on now. People here at FR have been saying that the DNC killed Wellstone almost as soon as the debris stopped falling. Limbaugh has done everything but come out a say that Clinton personally caused the crash. Why are we suprised that the other side is blaming the GOP?

Let's see: Vince Foster. Mr. Brown. Several "friends of Bill" who mysteriously 'commited suicide'. U.S.S. Cole. Embassy bombings. Somalia.
Any need to continue to refute mr. Rall with this?

Wellstone's murder was obviously the work of the Bilderbergers, the Rothchilds, the Committee of 300, the Trilateral Commission, and of course the Illuminati.

allowing journalists to die rather than provide them with help in a war zone,

What's that about?

smearing Democratic politicians as anti-American,

When did he say that?

I would think that Jesse Ventura, the independent Governor, would have more of an ax to grind than Bush. Can you imagine the fiercely independent Ventura having to work with the likes of Paul and Walter? Ventura was disliked by the political establishment of the Minnesota Democratic Party like Paul and Walter that they tried undercut him numerously when Jesse took office. If any assassination took place, I'd be looking at Jesse. He had method and opportunity and would be the first to benefit from good ole Paul's demise.
