The Democrats are in negotiations with Madison Sq. Garden to hold a memorial/rap session/political rally in memory of this wonderful human being.

What is the point in killing a person like that? That is horrible. I hope they catch the murderers quickly.

In the head after just being walked in on suggests assasination. They came in on him, they did not come upon him in public.

A bad thing....I remember Run DMC from back in the eighties. Run DMC and the Beastie Boys actually still exist in my collection...hehe. Pre-gansta rap was fun music, good for driving around town with your friends. I can remember going through the rhymes and trying to get the references...Paul's Boutique-Beasties is still the funnest for this. Before all of you old farts start to scream how stupid this is, remember, you did the same thing to the Beatles and other stuff....so get off your soapbox and grab your walker...hehe
early rap was fun and good....and today is sad...not 24 hour marathon news sad,( which MTV will turn it into) but more like hearing an old neighbor died...

According to the fans on two other memorial threads he was (as I interpret their eulogies) the best of the worst! (I'm series!)

sad really.....people are commenting on things they have no idea about...but that would be a first here right!...hehe
Run DMC were far from the worst...they rapped about having fun, pretty girls, rappin' and mom's christmas cooking...
nothing nearly as wholesome as our parents music..lsd trips, smokin'dope, cheap sex, tuning in and dropping out, revolution.
and they wonder why the baby boomers are aptly described as "the Worst Generation"
Run DMC were very against what later happened to rap music, the violence, drugs etc. They made a point never to use profanity or racial slurs in their records. they wanted the kids who bought their music to have a good time and that was it...
