A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 10/30/02

Today, President Bush announced a proposal to expedite Senate confirmation of his judicial nominees. Of Bush's 131 nominees, the Senate has only voted on 80. The Judiciary Committee has rejected two nominees, Charles Pickering of Mississippi and Priscilla Owen of Texas. Of course, Patrick Leahy used the Democratic buzzword of this election year by stating the President was 'politicizing' the judicial selection process to create a partisan campaign issue. In brighter news, the White House hosted a 'Radio Days' today where national radio talk shows were given access to Bush administration. Once again, the Democrats cried that the White House gave special treatment to conservative radio shows in order to promote their election year agenda... blah, bla, blah blah blah.
Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya! I will, knowing that the Democrats are in a hissy fit today.

The site has been weirder than I've ever seen it tonight. I posted something on another thread and it just disappeared into oblivion. Then I noticed that the Latest Posts page was not refreshing at all, though it least I wasn't getting one of those strange, awful "Cannot find this page" or error messages. Finally I hit refresh one more time and not only did the Latest Posts page finally change but my missing post showed up in its proper place. It's like the whole site was in suspended animation for a while ...... quite bizarre.
I am beginning to reach for the tin foil in the drawer. I have seen a couple of posts in the last two days by JimRob. He says that John is working frantically to figure out what the problem is but as of this afternoon they had no clue.

It has been odd off and on all day or at least when I took a few minutes to try to get on. It is as slow as molasses in the winter as they say here in the South!! I went to choir practice tonight and had a wonderful time. We are trying to get 150 in choir and had 101 Sunday morning at our special Homecoming service. We have 2 services now and 3 Sunday School times. We talked with the grandkids today and went to pick up our granddaughter at her school. She is still getting extremely tired from going to school all day. When we picked her up today, she got in the back seat and curled up. Does anyone have any idea what is going on with this site? I get cranky when I can not get into this site! LOL.

WOW, ohio...that's great news. Now, get nice and close so you can shake his hand and get a kiss. We want COMPLETE DETAILS and lots of pictures, k?
I'm so excited for you.
I got kicked off this site, then couldn't get back on and now it seems to be working fine. If it slows down again, though, I'm outta here. I can't take it. It rattles my nerves too much.

Let's hope there are lots of independents who were planning to vote dem but got so turned off by the phony theatrics last night, that they either vote GOP or don't vote at all.

DOS = "Denial of Service" (I think)
Here's a recent message from Jim Robinson
To: per loin
It ain't working right. If I knew why, it'd be fixed. Nothing else to report at the moment, other than we've used our last bit of duct tape and Chief's auto doesn't have any more WD40. They've special ordered in a new shipment of both just for us.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I ditto WPhile -- you and WVNan must take lots of pictures/(mental) notes and post both tomorrow night!
Looks like the President has another frenetic day scheduled tomorrow. In addition to West Virginia, he's also planning to visit South Bend, IN -- home of my beloved and UNDEFEATED Fighting Irish!!!!!
