Is that right about record lows in voter turnout expected? Here in Tennessee early voting just ended today (or maybe yesterday) and they're saying that there were more early votes than ever before and they're expecting above normal numbers voting on election day. I can't imagine with the importance of these elections that there were be the normal apathy we've gotten used to.

That's a really interesting question... I kept seeing that tidbit- that turnout was supposed to be at record lows- but after the Wellstone incident, it appears both sides are trying to really get out the vote.

Naturally, that's what the election will really hinge on- the more successful side will win. I've been trying to get people energized, and informed... it will be interesting to see how all this tactical manouvering plays out.

Early voting ended on Halloween (how fitting) and the voter turnout was said to be half a million across the state.
