Hi there. I just saw "We Were Soldiers" on DVD last weekend, and it was great. At the end of the movie, when they show that bastard NVA commander acting smug about how they would win in the end, all I thought about was what a dumbass he was. They are a $hithole worthless dung heap of a country, and if they had told the Russians to go to hell and joined the West, their country would be wealthy by now. What did their socialist pride get them?
Luckily, we got the cream of their society, and they'll be helping us continue to dominate the planet for a while.

One of the biggest lies ever told on TV: "And that's the way it is." was Walter Chronkite's closing line on the CBS Evening News in the 1960's.
I realized what a lie this was when I returned from Vietnam in 1968, because what Chronkite said was exactly the way it WASN'T.
Keep in mind also: Chronkite was the guy who was instrumental in bringing Dan Rather to CBS as a national correspondent.
Ol' Uncle Walter has a lot answer for.

I wish someone would take a look at the 1969 battle at Hiep Duc, Quang Tin province. It was the last time an NVA at division strength faced off against US forces. They learned a lesson, never take the USA head-on.
As most who spent time in Viet Nam know, today's terrorists are using tactics honed by the Viet Cong and NVA in Viet Nam, the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia and the Pathet Lao in Laos. Unfortunately, the American media and their leftist friends never bothered to report on the myriad atrocities they committed (especially the genocide of highland tribes in Viet Nam), and when they did it was always couched in a sort of Orwellian newspeak that apologized for any action undertaken by an enemy guerrilla force.
Unfortunately, with regard to the media's treatment of our enemies, we are beginning to see history repeat itself.

...History is ongoing as...
...Vietnam Vet/Senator JOHN KERRY (D) has been blocking a bill in committee for a year that would hold Communist Vietnam accountable for its wholesale Genocide of the Degger/Montagnyard/Christian tribes people of South Vietnam's Central Highlands/Lowlands.
...When the Communists took over a then Free South Vietnam there were 3.5 Million of them living.
...It is now down to only 800,000 poor souls.
Senator JOHN KERRY (D) =
The Enemy Within...?

Thanks for all you do!

You can want all you want. It was the worst kind of misdireted folly. Those who went did their duty and those who sent them were criminals.

...The Vietnam War was about STABILITY in the area during a global Cold War that could change into a Hot one at any time ...especially there as did the Korean War only a decade and a half earlier.
...After we were fooled by TV into leaving the poor souls of S.E. Asia behind by Anti-U.S. Friends WALTER CRONKITE, BILL CLINTON & HILLARY RODHAM ...
...then came the DELUGE.
...I personally have talked to a few of our former enemies from Communist North Vietnam who FLED a Communist South Vietnam for America after they found out that HO CHI MINH had lied to them when he promised that everything would get better in both the North and the South after a Communist Victory there...
...when actually everything got worse, much worse for both in the End.
...Come to America they did, if they could. Many others remain enslaved by Communism =
...HILLARY RODHAM's continuing Goal for US.
NEVER FORGET
To: ALOHA RONNIE
Stablize the area LOL!
We killed the head of south Viet Nam. We went against the guy in the North who had been our ally in WWII. We lied to keep the fight going and kill even more of them and us. We sent the country into serious debt. We wouldn't let them be, because in all liklihood their people would have voted communist on their own, something they had a right to do. We didn't give it our best shot and got even more of our folks killed. We lied to give the president extraconstitutional war powers. And the commies took over anyway.
So tell me about stability.
