What a beautiful presentation for our Finest of this day, dansangel!
Salvation, it is a joy to read about your life and what you have made of it with God's help.
It reminds each of us of how He is present in every situation, guiding us toward the purposes for which we were born.
In these precarious times with concerns for our safety with terror abounding and wars in the making, something reached me through my mail this day that bears placing here.

"Fear is a magnifying lens that exaggerates whatever it looks at. The devil is a master illusionist who uses fear to take our eyes off the Lord. The result is that our stress level increases and anxiety brings death into our world. Indeed, the more we talk about what's wrong, the greater the wrong possesses us.
God's word tells us, "In repentance and rest you shall be saved, in quietness and trust is your strength" (Isa 30:15).
Be quiet. Compose your soul. Don't let your unbelieving words deplete your spirit, for the more you talk, the more peace you lose. Keep your soul focused upon the Lord.
Turn your heart toward the strength of God. Those who believe, enter His rest and from the place of rest, hear His voice.
If you know who God truly is, anxiety will fade into trust. Therefore, cease worrying! God cares for you. Those who trust Him have peace that surpasses all understanding. Talk to the Lord and then quietly listen.
As you do, your spirit will soar, your heart expand and ascend into His Presence.
It has been truly said, "Fear is the darkroom where Satan develops our negatives."
Therefore, renounce fear. Divorce anxiety.
Beloved, the Lord is good. Trust Him with your battle.
Yes, it's time to cease striving and know that He is God."

Hope your trip to Call is safe. Is that far from you?It was less than 300 miles roundtrip. And I got home about 15 minutes before the hail storm hit!

**Bless you, glad you're here at FR, it's simply the best little news-cafe in the whole world.**
You are correct, jwfiv!
FR had moved me closer to being more active in the Republican party in Oregon. We have a long an uphill fight against all the liberals, here........(ggrrrrroooooannnn)
One thing I loved yesterday when I came out of church was that someone had plastered "Pro-Life and Pro-Family" voting guides on EVERY vehicle.
Might be a suggestions for others in this elelction.
Have a great day!

Beautiful!! With Mt. Hood in the background! Wow!

Life has a way of accelerating as we get older. I'll vouch for that!
Thanks for that reflection. Copied and saved in my collection of quotes!

And here are a couple for you:
THE VALUE OF TIME
Imagine theres a bank which credits your account each morning with 86,400 dollars, carries over no balance from day to day, allows you to keep no cash balance, and every evening cancels whatever part of the amount you had failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out every cent, of course.
Well, everyone has such a bank. Its name is Time. Every morning it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it wipes off, as lost, whatever of this you had failed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdrafts. Each day it opens a new account for you; each night it burns the records of the day. If you fail to use the days deposits, the loss is yours. There is no going back; there is no drawing against tomorrow. You must live in the present on todays deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success. The clock is running. Make the most of today.
To realize the value of one year, ask a student who has failed his final exam.
To realize the value of one month, ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby.
To realize the value of one week, ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.
To realize the value of one day, ask a daily wage laborer who has ten kids to feed.
To realize the value of one hour, ask the lovebirds who are waiting to meet.
To realize the value of one minute, ask the person who has missed the train.
To realize the value of one second, ask a person who has survived an accident.
To realize the value of one millisecond, ask the person who has just won a silver medal in the Olympics.
Treasure every moment and use it wisely.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
There is an appointed time for everything,
and a time for every affair under the heavens.
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to uproot the plant.
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to tear down, and a time to build.
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance.
A time to scatter stones, and a time to gather them;
A time to embrace, and a time to be far from embraces.
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to cast away.
A time to rend, and a time to sew;
A time to be silent, and a time to speak.
A time to love, and a time to hate;
A time of war, and a time of peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:9-15

Glad to meet you, dutchess.
I will be helping with a new program at our church tonight entitled, "Catholics Can Come Home Again". It is based on a book by the same title authored by Carrie Kemp out of the Basilica of St. Mary in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
It is so exciting to be a small part of these people's lives. The Holy Spirit gets most of the credit, however! LOL!

Hi, AGG!
I read your comment and I know how you feel. The same thing happened to me on another thread witch I'll not name here. But I find it frustrating, expecially when they get this way and you're not sure what brought that animosity on!
you take care of yourself and may God bless you! :^)

Thank-you for getting me pumped up for the trip tomorrow! I can't wait!
We expect it'll take us approximately 5-6 hours. Not a bad ride, really, just lo-o-o-o-ng!
To: Billie
It's not just you, Billie. :-(
I deleted all 4927 temporary internet files (!) hoping it would speed things up, but I'm afraid it's FR.
Why is it we accumulate so many "temporary files" that never seem to go away all by themselves???? I just emptied all the folders out two weeks ago!
To: LadyX
Thank-you for sharing that beautiful passage with us, LadyX.
I often wonder how anyone can "live" without God in their lives!

Oh my goodness! You've had quite a day already!
Thank God you're back safely!

PS...please keep the hail over there...it's bad enough that you keep sending all that rain over here!! LOL!!
To: dansangel; Billie; All
The entire internet could be under attack also - I'm having a bumpy ride where ever I visit'
If you want to see my latest weapon discovery, it and a link are posted on the Glocktober thread. I'm going to look at one tomorrow: for sale by individual. ;-)

Things look pretty good for Jeb, at least in my neck of the woods (central gulf coast). Of course, there's still the other side of the state and all those Dimrat counties! Keep Florida in your prayers, dear Salvation. I know you will!

.45MAN told me that last Monday's Internet glitches were due to an "attack" on something like 7 of the 13 servers that run the whole kit 'n caboodle. Have you heard anything about that?
Internet terrorists have too darned (I have used extreme control over my language!) much time on their hands!!!
Going to check out your "maybe" acquisition right now!
To: dansangel
