I don't have a horse in this race either, but having lived in both SF and LA, I'm feeling pretty involved. Bet LA wins and hope they do.
To: PoisedWoman
yea I not inclined to root for teams in la but dont like the giants and usually root for the al team so If I had to choose I would say go angels

Bet LA wins and hope they do. I can't figure out why I'm the only one sitting here at Dodger Stadium...

To both AngelFan and GiantFan:
No matter if you win or lose, just remember: There are a few tens of thousands of Houston Astros fans that would LOVE to be where you are right now.

They were created from scratch in 1961. First couple years they played in Dodger Stadium. Think the Big A (excuse me, Edison Field) has been around since roughly '65. Owned for most of their existence by Gene Autry, the Singing Cowboy.
I'm firstly a Dodgers fan but growing up in Orange County I have also been an Angels fan -- grew up watching Nolan Ryan and when I was a teen there was the "Yes We Can!" team of '79 -- finally being in the World Series is a huge thrill. For me it's doubly sweet to have the team led by my faves from the Dodgers' '88 World Champion team, Mike Scioscia and batting coach Mickey Hatcher.

They've always been in Anaheim (since their beginning in 1960). They changed their name from the California Angels to the Anaheim Angels probably around a decade ago now.

I will come only if you have arms outstretched and a look of forgiveness and love upon your face.

Eckstein with an uncharacteristic mental error.

Eckstein runs the Angels out of the inning by getting doubled up at 2nd on a line drive to center.....
To: hole_n_one
And Bonds is out. Whew.
Angels pitch to Bonds and he rips a line drive to a perfectly positioned Eckstein for the first out.
