Police spotted suspects' car 10 times during sniper spree (PC killed more innocents!)
Washington Post via Mecury News Link ^ | 26 Oct 2002 | Craig Whitlock and Josh White

``We were looking for a white van with white people, and we ended up with a blue car with black people,'' said Washington, D.C., Police Chief Charles Ramsey, whose department ran the Caprice's license Oct. 3, just hours before a fatal shooting in Washington that has been tied to the sniper suspects, John Allen Muhammad, 41, and John Lee Malvo, 17.

BTTT!

Very well said, Grampa Dave.

The only thing I'd add to that is that there's valid reason for the feds to label this as a 'hate crime'.

These two Islamakazis, as you call them, picked the victims they did, because they hate all Americans and non-Muslims.

If a skin-head tried to extort $10 million dollars by targeting 13 black people for death, the PC crowd would by crying hate crime.

Why not now?

Please forgive us for be your typical white racist conservatives. Send us to Diversity/Political Correctness 101 bootcamp to enable us to feel compasionately about the downtrodden and to forget the victims. It is our fault that they were down trodden. Therefore, it is our fault that they killed and wounded so many.

No one would have believed them if they spray painted with International Glow Orange on the Caprice: WE ARE THE SNIPERS! PLEASE ARREST US AND STOP FROM KILLING!

Have you seen the Comedy Central show called "Trigger Happy?" The creator of the show (a British man) pulls off a stunt where he is walking down the street dressed like a bandit, holding a big sign over his head that says "THIEF", and he is walking to his car, which has a big sign reading "GETAWAY CAR" on it. He only rolls video when there are patrol cops walking by, and they can be captured on video. The cops won't/don't even look his way!

No I didn't know that he wanted to be a Nation of Islam one way Airline Pilot.

He, while serving in the Air National Guard with Portland was trained on drinking water safety and handling. That should send a shiver up anyone who drinks water these days.

News Break for other Americans, there is not a member of the Nation of Islam who did not express sympathies for the 9/11 attackers. Most probably cheered when out of sight. The members of the Nation of Islam are no different than the great unwashed Islamakazis in the Middle East and other parts of the world.

We have to play by the rules, criminals don't. The rules get more restrictive all the time. Think about a federal lawsuit if you pull over a vehicle with the wrong people in it.

That's why we need about 90% fewer rules, so we can train a cost-effective police force to competently enforce the important ones, like "Thou shalt not murder." And then we could also fire anyone who thinks an Urban Studies Ph.D. is a good thing for a cop to have.

Radical members of the Nation of Islam sect can't commit hate crimes. Don't you know that!

Any pattern should have been extremely easy to discern with just basic queries.

Absolutely. I'm not sure even powerful database like Oracle or SQL would have been needed. An off the self d-base app. like MS Access could have easily done the job. Simply using the match command from the individual database tables from each roadblock would have quickly isolated the license plates showing up more than once.

In retrospect, it appears runaway Political Correctness made 2 bumbling, unorganized, low rent, drifting psychopaths into some kind of elusive, intrepid, highly organized Day of the Jackal style sniper team. Simply Amazing.

Let’s hope that the facts of this case see the light of day. These 2 killers should have been apprehended weeks ago.

Gee you are so radical with this statement:

That's why we need about 90% fewer rules, so we can train a cost-effective police force to competently enforce the important ones, like "Thou shalt not murder." And then we could also fire anyone who thinks an Urban Studies Ph.D. is a good thing for a cop to have.

However, you have laid out the way to make our police forces effective, cost effective and able to protect the innocent.

You posted: Part of my job is doing statistical analysis, looking for trends in what seems like chaos. Databasing the license plates of all the car that were stopped at the roadblocks set up after each shooting would have been childs play. I am stunned that this was not being done.

I firmly believe that the only way the PCers can stay in power in any organization, public or corporate, is to control the flow of information. Their power is insured when they control the information on critical issues and only allow what they want out after it is laundered.

Remember the info relayed to the team collecting the info was hand written on to carbon copy forms. That system would preclude the real data from getting into what you proposed.

What this comes down to (IMHO) is a POS who abandoned the country that he swore to protect. A Islamic POS that killed (or tried to) women , children , elderly, Americans of all ethnic backgrounds that goes against almost everything in the quranic verses thus making his alledged "struggle" based on religion moot , null and void.

And to top it all off this POS is a homosexual who tells all he met that the teenager was his son........yeah sure.

One more insane product of a socialist democratic society that jumps through hoops per se to protect......this in a PC world that is afraid to call criminal worthless trash on the carpet and hold accountable for what they really are .........a murdering POS that should be hung for their crimes "in public " during prime time on national TV !

Stay Safe , Stay Armed and CYA Dave !

I have not seen what you posted below:

It sounds like a classic that should be run over and over after what happened the past two weeks.

MS Access could have easily done the job

You got my blood boiling.

What's the purpose of collecting data if no one analyzes them?

Since we know that the perps' car was stopped at least 10 times, we could at least narrow down the potential suspicious vehicles to a few, if not one.

Incompetence run amok

Would you please really tell us what you really feel about John Muhammed, radical POS member of the Nation of Islam serial killer of innocents?

What a great Rant!

. . . so where is the search that pulls up all the plates that show up twice, thrice, five times, ten times?

It's willful negligence, imo, and Moose should be jailed. It's an elementary procedure, isn't it, and would've taken 5 seconds to run that search? But, nooooooooooo . . . they were having too much fun inconveniencing hundreds of thousands of commuters and yanking white guys out of their trucks, throwing them to the ground, and handcuffing them. A big dog and pony show.

I firmly believe that the only way the PCers can stay in power in any organization, public or corporate, is to control the flow of information.

But it seems they've slipped up on controlling the flow of info on where the money was to go. A sharp Freeper got past their redactions, and shows others how to do it here

As Rush is fond of saying, "Follow the money" and it leads to an odd place in this case.

I heard that the police chased one of the guys in the Montgomery liquor store's armed robbery and murder. At one point the policeman was only 2 feet away from the suspect, but the suspect got away.

This sounds like the policeman was afraid to shoot at the suspect because he would be accused of using undue force to stop a suspect. I can understand the policman's hesitancy in using force to stop a fleeing suspect. The police have to be real careful or they will be up on charges. Because of the current environment to charge the police for doing their job, a suspect got away to kill 10 more times.

I'm not sure the article says it was stopped 10x at roadblocks... I get the feeling the tag was run 10x... but most NOT at the roadblocks... Still it seems that using some sort of sorting of their database, they could have found whatever cars had seemed suspicious and looked at them more closely... Dumb.
