It's a funny thing about Russia...for a short while, back in the 1940's we were allies. There was even a saying, as I recall, that Russians were like Americans without the creases in their pants. That changed for awhile during the cold war.

But truth be told, I suspect that the US and Russia will become good friends. Perhaps American innovation combined with a drop of Russian ruthlessness is what's needed to win the war on terrorism.

I wonder how much help Putin & Co. had from US Intelligence and Terrorist experts, as well as probably Israeli help as they are very good at this stuff also. Probably we'll never know, but I'm sure Bush offered Putin help of some sort.

I did. Prayer for the Spetznaz to win was a major hurdle. I'm glad they did. Thank God there was no mass casualties or massive explosions. Prayers for the hostages and all of their families.
