This is a vanity I'm posting to salute bluecollarman.
We've all watched the idiot profilers for the last couple of weeks, mostly fingering a 30-ish crazy white male militia member as the likely perp. Well, way back on 10/8, FReeper bluecollarman just nailed the profile of the perp. Here's a portion of his post (linked above), from 10/8!
Okay here is my conclusion , For what it's worth, which is not much.
A Single Shooter, Dark Skin or Black Man, 20-30, Muslim with US Military Training with M-16, probably Marine. Maybe hired or just pissed off.
Since this is my sincere belief, it will probably turn out to be a white pimply faced teenager with his first gun who is mad at his girlfriend.
Fox News Channel lurkers - you guys should hire BlueCollarMan to do future perp profiles. He's a heck of a lot better than those "profiler" goobers y'all paraded past us for the last couple of weeks.

In a current thread I saw today, bluecollarman made a claim of having had an accurate profile back on 10/8. I went and found that post, and was blown away by the accuracy of his profile of the perp back then. Once I saw it, I remembered having seen it when it was new (around 10/8, mind you!), and remember thinking it some of the best-thought-out conjecture of the time.
Good job, BlueCollarMan. I salute you!

the diverse experience, wisdom, insight, and wealth of information that congregates on this site never ceases to amaze me....although I am so happy that a cheese-eating mose never bit my sister in the shower...and I am series as a heart attach!

probably MarineWay off base. This clown relied on a scope, a tripod and a "platform" for 100-200 yards. We qualify at 500 meters with iron sights.
To: SMEDLEYBUTLER
You're a Marine, and you're buying the reporting that a "tripod" was used? How many rifle tripods have you seen in use?

Pantsuit was on the Senate floor today asking:
"What did bluecollarman know and when did he know it?"

I didn't say I bought it. I didn't buy the profile that he was probably a Marine either. I'm basing what I wrote on what the media reported was pulled out of the trunk of the car. However, this idiot probably did use a pod of some sort. That's another hole in his expert marksman rating. We probably won't know for certain what they used until one or both of the perps give an allocution and even then we may never know the details. I've never seen an AR-15 used with a tripod, they probably meant a bipod but you know how reporters and PAOs usually screw up the facts. Never saw an M60 or M249 or M240 used with a tripod either. Only bipods. I've only seen the ma duce used with a tripod.

Hire ME! Several days ago I said the sniper was from Alabama!! (because they couldn't understand him, LOL)

Well I promised myself I wouldn't post on this thread but...
I kinda thought it might go like this but thanks for the thought FreedomPoster.
Smedley, I am USMC 70-74. Qual expert M-14. I know all about iron sights thank you. You are looking at this from today not 2 weeks ago.
No, of course it's wasn't a 100% correct profile, I think the point is my post (and a lot of free republic posters) were a lot closer to the shooter than all the mumbo jumbo on TV about angry white guys.

>>You are looking at this from today not 2 weeks ago.
Exactly. For example, two weeks ago, I don't think we had a lot of info on engagement ranges, and I believe there were a couple of head shots early on.

And how do you use a tripod in the trunk of a car??

And how do you use a tripod in the trunk of a car?? Bingo! My thoughts also include, besides how, "WHY" would is even be necessary to use a tripod from the trunk of a car?

What makes him even better is that he was hunmble about his profiling. He said he was probably going to turn out be completely wrong.
The idiot profilers on TV spoke with too much certainty, and tended to have strong biases which they made no effort to compensate for.
