The "experts" who said the sniper was a right-wing white guy and the anthrax (vanity)

While not all evidence is in, it looks like the sniper was a Muslim. Huge surprise to some.

All the newsmedia talking heads and the "expert" profilers, have been saying the sniper was a white domestic right-wing domestic. Even as more evidence mounted that this could possibly be terrorism, the networks did all they could to steer clear of it.

Freepers have been saying this was Islamic terrorism since day one. I guess that makes the Freepers smarter than the people whose job it is to profile. But we're really not smarter we just have common sense, and we're not afraid to be un-PC. We are at war with Islam, and anybody who tries to pretend that we're not is a fool.

One of the anthrax mailings said something along the lines of "death to america, death to israel, allah is great". This led the experts to believe that this is a domestic right wing terrorist. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that just like in the sniper case, the "experts" are wrong. We're at war with Islam here people, wake up.

Freepers have been saying this was Islamic terrorism since day one.

Freepers have also been saying that the perps were Arabs, Satan worshippers and illegal Mexicans from day one. Everyone has his preconceptions.

Let's wait and see what we learn as the war on terrorism continues.

sounds like two idiots looking for an excuse. like "whitey keeping me down so I think I'll burn down LA."

In this case, they picked an conveniently insane branch of religion to tag on to.

Let's see what we learn as the war on terrorism continues.

Both groups hate the federal government, and individuals in both groups have utilized military training and weapons in the commission of felonies.

Necessity makes strange bedfellows.

Terrorist groups share intelligence, operatives, weapons, and training facilities, and commit crimes on each other's behalf, often for pay. This includes groups whose ideology conflicts.

Actually, "Camp Ground Zero" was initially described as a militia training camp, but that has since changed. They are now calling it a terrorist training camp on the news.

Militias generally want a non-intrusive government - No political correctness; No forced integration with people; No interference.

Islamofascists, however, want all-intrusive government - Theocratic rule that treads on everyone's liberty; Repressing women; Killing 'Infidels' just because they practice religious freedom.

Besides, I don't believe I've ever heard of a militia in Alabama. Anyone have better knowledge on this front? I always thought the militias were primarily mid-western.

Which, of course, does NOT an international terrorist make. Unless we are suggesting that all American Muslims in this country should be rounded up and made prisoners.

No, and you know I have never been in the "round them all up camp." YOU said he wasn't a practicing Muslim. Numerous newspaper accounts this morning say that he converted 17 years ago, was a good Muslim according to neighbors, called his ex-wife to tell her to change his child's diet to Islamic standards, and was anti-American to the point of supporting the 9/11 hijackers. This is NOT a Muslim in name only.

I also find it reprehensible that you would infer that I support imprisoning all Muslims. You are letting your own position make you lash out at those with whom you disagree. I suggest you calm down and admit that you have gone a little bit overboard.

Also, the step-son is a JAMAICAN citizen, which means he is from another country, and thus is, indeed, an international terrorist.

You need to re-read this story. Mohammad is a practicing Muslim who has trained at a Black Muslim Camp in Bama. He was a Bodyguard for Louis Farakkan (the TRaitor) at the Million Moron March. The issue is not that he is Black, but that he is another radical Islamonazi. We are at WAR with Islam.

Oh, these two may be sincerely angry at the US, but that doesn't mean they are international terrorists. And I get the impression that folks here would like to draw that straight line. I shudder to think what that kind of thinking would lead to in this country. I suppose it would be an indirect coup for the real Islamic terrorist if we would turn on all American muslims (many of who are Christian) and further divide.

OK. Go drink some coffee and ponder on how American Muslims can be Christian. I eagerly await that explanation.

It seems to me that the people who said the perps were plain old American nutcases and the people who said it was linked to terrorism were both right.

"Al-Queda terrorists always knock over (rob) liquor stores!

I sense sarcasm but if you'll recall, the hijackers were whooping it up at a bar leading up to September 11th. Also, "out of character" according to any profiles.

How silly of me not to assume islamic terrorists would be above such activity
No, actually Islamic terrorists are beneath such activity. Treason is more underhanded than robbery, and accepting pay/expense money from antiamerican foreigners to commit antigovernment crimes ("terrorism") is treason.

And there is the off chance that commiting less underhanded crimes could prematurely bring you to the attention of the authorities . . .

Excuse me, I meant to say that many arab folk are Christian converts. And, of course, I'm not suggesting that YOU are interested in rounding up all American muslims in this country. (This written medium doesn't work very well for total communication.) I'm just seeing folks draw a straight line here between all muslims and conclude that they are all hatefilled murderers. You can see that for yourself here by some of the responses.

I haven't see a connection between these two and Al-queda. But I could be wrong. I understand that even the owner of GROUND ZERO has never heard of this guy.

Heard a profiler on WRVA in Richmond say he thinks these suspects are not the sniper(s) because "all the profilers are agreed this was the work of a white male and these guys don't fit the profile." Have to respect someone with the courage not to let the facts mess up their theory.

How do you know? This morning I have read and heard various reports about this guy's conversion and faith. He is being described as a devout muslim who converted over 15 years ago, went so far as to call his ex-wife to tell her what his children should and should not eat, and was a bodyguard for Farrakhan at the Million Man March.

Just curious - I've read your similar comments on various threads this morning and would like to know why you are apparently determined to completely discount this guy's Islamic connection. I don't think too many on FR this morning are blowing it out of proportion beyond speculation that it may run a little deeper than just sympathy toward extremists, so why are you running so fast in the other direction?
