Muslim converts, like converts to any religion, can often be a hell of a lot more zealous (and annoying) than those born into a particular faith. And if this is the guy, and there is a Muslim motivation, will the authorities attempt to play it down, like they did with the guy who shot up the El Al counter at LAX on the 4th of July?

Some people, such as myself, suggest the fact that he changed his name to Muhammed might be a clue.

To me, the fact that he changed his name to Muhammed in 2001, after being a practicing Muslim since the eighties as plain old John Williams, is even more telling.

Former neighbors are describing Muhammed and his 2nd wife & kids as being a close knit "normal" MUSLIM family per Fox news.

I don't think the 9/11 hijackers practiced their faith either in the traditional sense of the word "practice" as they frequented bars, strip clubs, and had a varied diet.

The info about this suspect released so far would tend to make me believe that he did have some anti american motive for these actions based upon his distorted view of Islam.

It is aggravating beyond words that the major media, along with all the PC morons - including some on FR - simply refuse to report or believe that Islamic terrorists are in this country in order to wreak havoc.

Islam is based on violence and hatred for every other religion, especially Judaism and Christianity. No wonder Hillaire Belloc sounded the alarm about 'Mohammedans', particulary in regard to their invading and populating Europe. No, I am not saying his orders were from Osama. I am saying that there have been descriptions of him and of his last wife describing them as, what appears to be, practicing Muslims. IOW, the wife wore the traditional muslim garb and they were described by fromer friends/neighbors as your "typical quiet muslim family". I was simply mentioning something that was contradictory to your assertion that he did/does not practice his faith.

I was also mentioning that the hijackers were not "practicing" their religion in the traditional sense as well.

This Muhammed may not have been practicing traditional Islam ( if there is such a thing ) but some mutated and radical version of Islam.

There is no evidence that these two were just "angry black/jamaican men" but I also concede there is no hard evidence ( yet ) to tie them to any particular terrorist group/ideology although one would tend to think that to be the case from their criminal history as it unfolds.

Second, I have seen it mentioned on another thread that you are a muslim. Am I correct in this? If not , I apologize my misunderstanding in advance.

If so, I have a question about the name Muhammed. What exactly is the meaning of the name? I have heard reports in the media referencing this name to "Michael" or to "God". I am simply wondering if the tarot card message "I am God" was meant as "I am Muhammed". It seemed to be that the reporter was piecing together that the sniper was telling his identity through the tarot card and I found that interesting.
