Shell casings in a tree trunk? The only way they could get there would be if they were driven in with a hammer. Bullets, on the other hand...

About the fourth time I have heard that....

Shell casings don't usually imbed themselves in tree trunks.

Is this sloppy terminology? Do they mean bullets? - Or shell casings buried under a tree or in the ground?
