All seems quiet since yesterday's news the shooter may target children specifically. It was released on various news outlets the shooter's 3-page letter to police was in broken English and threatened extreme violence. Police announced an electronic transfer of $10m as requested by the shooter was not possible but other options for transfer remain open. No one seriously believes police will actually give the shooter $$, but police are trying to keep a dialogue open with the shooter in an effort to capture this monster.

I took it to mean that the shake up will hit the media for the way they screwed this up. If five people have died because they leaked the I am God phrase which the sniper
intended to use to ID himselve to the police, they I think
the media should have their bones rattled!!!

A new theory that I picked up over a lunch discussion: It could be a hired gun(s). If that is the case, I doubt he'll be caught if he's doing this for money. The ransom demand could be standard misdirection. Chew on that one for awhile.

Okay, I think I've got the surface scraped. It seems the press conference made an appeal to the illegal immigrant community. Seems they are needing public assistance and information, think someone saw something, and want them to come forward.

My understand is, more people died because the Cops wouldn't answer the telephone and when they did, hung up on the sniper/s. Which is crazy, anyway, and who believes the word of a killer?

I think this was mostly damage control after the somewhat heavy handed treatment of the two mexicans. He doesn't want to lose any potential sources.

I suppose anything could be true, we aren't dealing with a stable person. If this has been just about money then why only $10M, why not $25M, $50M, $100M. For someone so cold blooded, who is clever and diabolical enough to capture the attention of the entire country and the international community $10M seems a paltry figure.
