Let's keep a live commentary thread going again today. The FBI Tip Line #1-888-324-9800.
All seems quiet since yesterday's news the shooter may target children specifically. It was released on various news outlets the shooter's 3-page letter to police was in broken English and threatened extreme violence. Police announced an electronic transfer of $10m as requested by the shooter was not possible but other options for transfer remain open. No one seriously believes police will actually give the shooter $$, but police are trying to keep a dialogue open with the shooter in an effort to capture this monster.

Do you know what the post said that was deleted by the mod yesterday? I saw it after it was deleted..I never saw a reference to it, and no one complained that it was pulled.

Morning Masongal..good to see you!

Kim - earlier Fox was more specific and said the letter stated 20 body bags.

Me too - evey day I change my mind - ME terrorist or domestic. Today - I'm leaning more toward domestic.
Who knows!!
To: Peach
Oh - I hadn't heard that.

I'm beginning to lean away from the terrorist theory. The more he is in contact with LE, the more I think he's just a severely evil nutjob. Then again, the fool who tried to light his explosive shoes on board a jumbo jet last year was a ME-connected terrorist and isn't exactly the paragon of mental stability.
The evidence released publically so far is still ambiguous enough to support a ME-terrorist theory or a "lone psycho" theory.
What most annoys me is the LE haven't released enough info (composite sketches etc) to fully engage the public in the search for this killer. Good grief, let's turn this investigation over to "America's Most Wanted" and nab the guy before another week is out.

There are a lot of great threads going today. I'm going to try to find them all and post them on the archive thread. See ya after awhile.
To: MasonGal
We posted it earlier on this thread. We speculated we'd like 20 body bags - for the shooter's body parts after he's captured.

Thanks Peach...that's pretty specific isn't it.

FYI: Fox news just reported that the letter found at ponderosa said the cops would need lots of body bags..and that it was written neatly on lined paper.OMG! What about the drones? Are they ready? Were they ready yesterday? Anybody knows? They have to be useful for something! And how come the snipers aren't worried about them???

BTW... 1-800-1SNIPER is not the number, I just made it up. (I thought I would post this, because some people may think I have some inside scoop, LOL!) I can think of several...
1-800-SHOOTME, 1-800-GOTGUNS, 1-800-GOTAMMO, 1-800-CANKILL, 1-800-223-SHOT etc... as I believe the sniper requested a special 1-800 to be put into service for him and I bet that number spells something that means something to him.
Well I am getting slap happy, it's time for me to crash for a few hours.

I just have this wierd feeling that he was a perp that Moose had caught maybe a while ago. I was guessing yesterday, that perhaps he helped take down the Portland cell. The shootings started shortly after those arrests. I got quite a few jeers on that one.

Morning MasonGal!
It looks like today's going to be a very sad day. I pray I'm wrong and they catch them before they kill anybody else.

Kim - earlier Fox was more specific and said the letter stated 20 body bags. It must be something like, if I shoot a School bus driver like this Ride-On driver. And if the bus is going 45 MPH, 20 body bags is a minimum, no?

I really do not know how many body bags will be needed. I can think of a couple of ways to snag this piece(s) of filth if he/they were after the money but I am certain the PD already knows such means. One can wire money to all kinds of accounts but eventually someone has to access those accounts in order to spend the money.
If the sniper is a homegrown domestic out for profit then I would suggest that his access to foreign accounts would be pretty limited. There is no way that the money could be accessed in the American banking system without the person accessing the money revealing themselves (at least not so they could spend it). Stay well - Stay safe - Stay armed - Yorktown

Logically we don't know where he will hit next or which wooded area he will be lurking in.
Your post got me thinking. What effect will Fall have on the pattern of the sniper killings once a great deal of his foliage cover is gone? Could this explain some of the sniper's recent conduct and demands?

Then again, the fool who tried to light his explosive shoes on board a jumbo jet last year was a ME-connected terrorist and isn't exactly the paragon of mental stability. I was just about to lean over to domestic nut job. Now Im back on the fence forgot about not-so-bright foreign nut jobs!

Wow - -I just logged on a few minutes ago - so I haven't been able to read through the entire thread yet.
I got up a little later than usual - because I was on FR so LATE last night. :))
To: OReilly
Yeah - I figure a moving target might be his next "thrill" - just to show how good a shot he is.
