Let's keep a live commentary thread going again today. The FBI Tip Line #1-888-324-9800.
All seems quiet since yesterday's news the shooter may target children specifically. It was released on various news outlets the shooter's 3-page letter to police was in broken English and threatened extreme violence. Police announced an electronic transfer of $10m as requested by the shooter was not possible but other options for transfer remain open. No one seriously believes police will actually give the shooter $$, but police are trying to keep a dialogue open with the shooter in an effort to capture this monster.

"Serving search warrants around the country. No arrests are expected. Only gathering evidence, bullet casings, etc. Request by investigators involved in the serial sniper case." Per FOX news.
To: rintense
Shep just said sources inside the investigation said they think they just missed this guy by minutes at the phone booth he made the call to them from.
If he used that phone without gloves, he left prints - and if he was a former soldier, he had fingerprint records. This may be how they narrowed the search down to this guy and they may be checking all locations where he was stationed and/or lived hoping to get lucky by finding a bullet or shell casing match.

FOX saying investigators requested to check out locations they think may be linked to the bullets fired.

Oct. 19th FORT LEWIS SOLDIER ARRESTED....RELATED?....
LINK Kudos to South Sound police officers who made a quick arrest in the case of the Interstate 5 shooter. Police arrested a 22-year-old Fort Lewis soldier in connection with a number of shooting incidents in the region. The soldier is accused of firing a 20-gauge shotgun at a motorist driving south on I-5 between Grand Mound and Centralia. He is also suspected in a couple of other shooting incidents, including one at a Hawks Prairie roundabout where a motorist was injured. Contrast the soldier's quick arrest with the horror that grips residents living in and around the nation's capital, where a sniper has shot and killed several individuals -- while they were mowing the lawn, sitting on a bench, pumping gas. Residents are understandably in a panic, altering their daily routines in an effort to escape the sniper's bullet

Not if he used a silencer...and a flash supressor...at night. And the tree/stump would muffle the sound of the bullet impact.

MSNBC saying Ft. Lewis had numbers of soldiers serving in the middle east, etc. very diverse post.

This angry "White guy"?
Ujaama, whose birth name is James Earnest Thompson, was taken into custody last month and has been held at a facility in Virginia, although authorities would not say whether he remains there.

Did you hear that? Fox news just said that they wonder if they are shell casings in the tree trunk.Getting shell casings into the tree trunk would be some trick.

Connie Chung on CNN is conducting a ridiculous interview on CNN. She is the absolute worst. "do you know how big the house is? why is there a grid in the backyard. Is the backyard smaller than a football field?" LOL!
To: Route66
If it is a former soldier, and he picked up a phone without gloves, then he is an idiot.
