Let's keep a live commentary thread going again today. The FBI Tip Line #1-888-324-9800.
All seems quiet since yesterday's news the shooter may target children specifically. It was released on various news outlets the shooter's 3-page letter to police was in broken English and threatened extreme violence. Police announced an electronic transfer of $10m as requested by the shooter was not possible but other options for transfer remain open. No one seriously believes police will actually give the shooter $$, but police are trying to keep a dialogue open with the shooter in an effort to capture this monster.

Guys, I though this was an Al Qaeda plot! I thought the suggestions this is a white male between 21 and 35 with a military background was just a bigoted attempt to frame the NRA! How are we going to scapegoat the Muslims now?

I think the Dose might be a little late tonight...
To: looney tune
I hope it's not either...but remember that we had a few former soldiers who were arrested as being part of terror cells and the like.

Are they looking for weapons, bombs, etc.? You don't need metal detectors to find bodies.
To: ~Kim4VRWC's~
That was mentioned except this is a residential area and would have been reported by neighbors.
To: HairOfTheDog
That's true....and the cops would have surely been called if he did.

There is a $500,000 reward and a red tape free visa on the table.
To: rintense
They said there was a $500,000 reward leading to the arrest and conviction of the Sniper.
Flash forward to now. Whoever tipped the LE off about the tree stump, KNOWS who the sniper is and where he lived and target practiced...so someone HAD to tell the police, didn't they?

It's a lot easier to attack the person, and not their message, when one fails to address the messageIf they can publish a name and picture, this guy)s) will be too busy running to do much killing.

FORT LEWIS SOLDIER ARRESTED IN TACOMA---RELATED?
LINK
Kudos to South Sound police officers who made a quick arrest in the case of the Interstate 5 shooter. Police arrested a 22-year-old Fort Lewis soldier in connection with a number of shooting incidents in the region. The soldier is accused of firing a 20-gauge shotgun at a motorist driving south on I-5 between Grand Mound and Centralia. He is also suspected in a couple of other shooting incidents, including one at a Hawks Prairie roundabout where a motorist was injured. Contrast the soldier's quick arrest with the horror that grips residents living in and around the nation's capital, where a sniper has shot and killed several individuals -- while they were mowing the lawn, sitting on a bench, pumping gas. Residents are understandably in a panic, altering their daily routines in an effort to escape the sniper's bullet.

Wow! Brian Wilson saying that there *may* be a string of suspects.

Interesting...

Tacoma is about 140+ miles north of Portland.
We can get into some trouble trying to blame PC Moose for everything. He has done enough without hitting on other things.
Having said that, al Fuqra and radical Black Muslims have been in Portland for decades. They could be linked here.

hubby with the TV off so we can talk about the day.
To hell with togetherness. It's vastly overrated."
Uh-oh. I dare not let my husband see your post. :)
