FORT LEWIS SOLDIER ARRESTED IN TACOMA---RELATED? LINK

Kudos to South Sound police officers who made a quick arrest in the case of the Interstate 5 shooter. Police arrested a 22-year-old Fort Lewis soldier in connection with a number of shooting incidents in the region. The soldier is accused of firing a 20-gauge shotgun at a motorist driving south on I-5 between Grand Mound and Centralia. He is also suspected in a couple of other shooting incidents, including one at a Hawks Prairie roundabout where a motorist was injured. Contrast the soldier's quick arrest with the horror that grips residents living in and around the nation's capital, where a sniper has shot and killed several individuals -- while they were mowing the lawn, sitting on a bench, pumping gas. Residents are understandably in a panic, altering their daily routines in an effort to escape the sniper's bullet.
