I've been at the DMV the last 3 hours. I read the first 50 and the last 23, can anyone tell me what he said. Our children aren't safe anywhere, anytime?

"DITTO!!!!! Sheesh, 150 posts of "breaking news humor" is enough!"We've been waiting over 40 minutes for him to make this statement...this is like the unruly, bored, squirming audience thing while waiting for the school play to start. Lose your sense of humor? Find it.

"This screams of Al Qaeda and the EXACT threats we got. "
Various excerpts from 2 seperate Fox news articles.
The Los Angeles Times also reported Tuesday that unidentified federal agents said the letter was "very lengthy" and poorly worded, bordering on broken English.
Some reports indicated that the caller had disguised his voice, spoke with a heavy foreign accent and at one point repeated the words "I am God" originally found on a tarot card left near where a 13-year-old was shot in Bowie, Md.
The French defense ministry notified Interpol on Monday that a French army deserter and known marksman had gone missing while on vacation in North America.
Fox News learned Monday that the soldier, described as 25 years old and with the first name of Georges, went missing on Sept. 2 after making cash withdrawals on his credit card in the United States.
He had seen active duty as a peacekeeper in former Yugoslavia, and friends characterized him as a secretive, solitary type who had spent a previous vacation alone in the Corsican mountains.
The Los Angeles Times also reported Tuesday that unidentified federal agents said the letter was "very lengthy" and poorly worded, bordering on broken English.
Could we have a French Muslim on our hands? Why don't they reveal the photo and name of this killer? Give the citizenry a chance.

Because the sniper told him to... Chief Moose always does what he's told. An original thought would probably kill the man...The decision to go public with this was most likely not made by the Chief.

"It's time to take it out of the hands of the damn authorities and return it to the locals."
It is... there's a 500,000 dollar reward out for any information leading to an arrest...
To: austingirl
it's the same spy plane that found Bin Laden. That's just how good it is.

its time to flood the woods in all areas of virginy and washington all stands with sharpshooters in ghille suits and night vision goggles and tell people to keep their loved ones home and out of wooded areas untill thius peice of crap is dead and tied to the hood of a cops car!
To: marajade
And how do you propose we do that? Maybe the government can go door to door...with guns drawn and search all of our houses...apartments...hotels...for any muslims. Then put them on planes. Then to close the border...then we are going to build a 20 foot wall around the entire country to keep them out. I guess that might be one idea. /sarcasm off

If I had all the time in the world, it'd be fun to make a video that increments an on-screen counter and makes a little "bing!" sound every time he says "inappropriate", like that South Park episode where they were counting up the naughty words.
(Oh, and "at this time", too; that's one of the most annoying verbal ticks I've ever heard, and it's universally used by police departments. I've never heard it used by a LEO where it added information. e.g.: "We are preparing our response at this time." I suppose "We are preparing our response" by itself is different or incomplete in some way known only to law enforcement.)

Wow, good catch. Everytime I think that this is leaning the way of a nutcase, something brings me back to the terrorism angle.
To: PoorRider
(what better way to incite fear than threaten the children?)That sounds suspiciously like the political tactics of the Democratic Party.
To: PoorRider
My press conference would tell the sniper not to bother bowing down to mecca if he shoots again. Because it won't be there.

That is not my job to figure that out. That is what the billions of dollars are being spent on in D.C., protect the homeland...make it secure...at any cost. Telling us to move along and live your life as everyday living is being taken out by terror...the folks in D.C. had better start thinking up a better plan. This is in 2 states now. Will it only matter when it hits 3? 6? 9?

The reporters have been HOUNDING Mr. Moose to tell them what was written in the note that pertained to childrens' safety, under the guise that people have the right to know if it pertains to their kids--not that they don't, but as you said, we already KNOW our children (not to mention husbands, wives, parents, etc) aren't safe. I blame this fright mongering on the media
To: Semper911
Muslims have an affinity for killing the children of their enemies I'm sorry to say.
To: WillVoteForFood
Is it important that he made reference to freedom and our way of life as it pertains to the level of the threat. Seems to me a serial killer, while a terrible thing, would not necessarily be a threat to our way of life.I had the exact same thought!
To: Chad Fairbanks
That's it... Somebody give the Moose a pillow case and a flashlight and send him snipe hunting. I do now think the guy is making this stuff up. Moose and terra firma have parted company. The Moose needs some medication now.
