The Edmonson County attorney, whose home was fired on Saturday night, likely was targeted for a drive-by shooting because of his job, authorities said.
''Right now we're investigating this as if he was targeted because he's a prosecutor,'' Sheriff B.J. Honeycutt said yesterday.

Maybe not in Kentucky. He should really read more papers than just the Louisville C-J.
I know our Commonwealth's Attorney personally and have suggested to him that a training program be implemented for prosecutors and judges. I'm not aware anything has been done to prepare these professionals for what may very well come to them one day - without warning.
We do have CCW in Kentucky and many of us carry all the time (plus a weapon within easy reach at night.) It's also possible to "harden" one's home to make it very difficult to enter and attack day or night. An ounce of prevention. . .
