It was just a thought that came to mind as I was watching the live feed this AM.

I went elk hunting 2 weeks ago, we were on a fairly flat mesa with a few well spaced tree-lines. We still heard some pretty distinct echo reports as other hunters too their shots. Nothing echoes a gunshot as well as a solid wall!

Another observation...when we were in among the trees, the three of us often had conflicting opinions about the direction from which any one shot was coming. Victim's position and the wound track within the body are almost always the best indicator of the shooter's location...

This bus shot would be something new. He can't set up an aim in advance for a bus door shot since he does not know precisely where the bus will stop.

It seems to me that someone needs to know this staging area exists, that it isn't just scouted like the gas stations near the highways.

Thanks for the ping about the schoolchildren. I really shouldn't be FReeping today, so I'll try to stay away from my keyboard as much as possible.

I heard several conflicting "expert opinions" about what a good shot he/they would or wouldn't have to be. I'm no expert, so I'm not sure who to believe.

However, I've made up my mind that we have 2 or more rogue Rambos on our hands. Not because of the shooting expertise, but because of the way they've been able to escape each and every time, even today, and even knowing the drones are up there.

I doubt anybody without military training (that includes terrorist groups and militia) would be able to do it for so long. I keep an open mind as to the perps religion, race, color skin or agenda is, but it looks more and more like they work for or are hired by some organized terrorist group (islamic, leftist, homegrown, neo-nazi or whatever).

As for the ransom, if true, it would just confirm my suspicion. They're obviously confident they can get away with it. How could they possibly think that unless they're part of a network? They'd have to be NUTS, and as of today, I don't believe anybody just plain nuts could've done what they've done.

I was watching Ch 7 (ABC affiliate WJLA) this morning... they said, "We have been asked not to disclose the location of any of the roadblocks."

flipped to channel 9 (CBS / WUSA)... "Cell phone callers are reporting roadblocks at various locations, including..." (they name some locations)... While showing the roadblock on the Am Leg Bridge!!!

Which is always true, but the more shoots you hear, the better the chance is that you can nail it down as to where it is coming from.

That is my thinking too, especially considering that something was said yesterday to the effect of someone else trying to cash in on what the sniper is doing. Also, it is an absolute certainty that if he tried to collect money he would be caught. This guy or these guys are not that stupid. It may just be part of a game too, that just makes it more intriguing or more of an adventure to him. He obviously is getting charged up from following the media coverage.

That's a possiblity. It could be a Black Muslim who is an Al-Qada sympathizer. It also could be a Joseph Paul Franklin type. I'm not sure.

I'm no mathematician, but given the number of shootings, just how much time would be necessary to adequately scout the "fire zones" and the egress paths.

It would seem that the higher the number of shootings goes would mitigate against it being a single shooter because of the time required for the scouting (especially for egress in the face of a highly-prepared response).

This would seem to be indicative of a group of individuals who are coordinating their activities.

I think any company in the area that has not accounted for its employees whereabouts during the shootings -- not to mention its trucks -- is borderline criminal.

Well, the largest employer in the area is a company known as *The Federal Government* and they do have a great many interagency motor pool white vans. Their corrupt CEO is a fella named *George Bush.* You take him into custody- be careful, I hear he's guarded by armed goons- and I'll start checking out the white vans, many of which are stored outside the DC/ Beltway area....

In my quick review of the photos of the first nine victims, it only seem one,prehaps two were white. I hope you're right.

Why? Is it somehow a lesser offense to kill whites? Why are you even bothering to question this? This is the DC area,and it is to be expected that the majority of the victims at random would be non-white because whites are a minority there.

With all due respect, the talking heads have said so much, that you could reply to just about every post in these sniper threads with a "already heard it from the talking heads" reply. Why waste your time?

Why don't you enlighten us and tell us something the many talking heads haven't?

Lets set them off and have people running for cover..mass panic in the streets..I just sit and read all the theories which I must assume is a natural display of helplessness and the NEED to be Superman and solve" the mysteries of these horrific crimes against humanity. I think to myself..the madmen go home at night to whatever cold rock they live under, turn on TV and get bored with the idiocy ..and then turn on their Puter and read their coverage..chatrooms,messageboards.
