They (the National Guard) can act as observers. They can be equipped with cameras. One or more may die in an attack, yes, but the rest will be able to get a better description of the perp(s).

Baloney. If you call them out, you arm them. And you put some of them on patrol around the schools.

I understand what you've meant and agree with most of it. Let me tell you, these cops working on this sniper case are the best this Country has. ALL the agencies are there, to the best of my knowledge. Now, if they are hunting for a "sniper" type and don't know enough to look in the trees, and the killer has to call them on their tip line, to tell them where to look for a THREE page note, then we are ALL IN BIG trouble. IMHO. I couldn't agree more.

Well, I don't know about you, but IMHO The White House needs a 'friendly e-mail/fax freep'. The sun has set for the long night in the DC area. The kids will soon be going to bed having earlier heard one of their heros, a policeman, on TV say they 'are not safe.'
