This is clearly not someone who grew up in Western Civilization. They, the shooter and his allies, need killin', and quickly.

Been crying, myself. I haven't seen my sisters in several years (nephew was here visting when 9/11 happened and then had to fly back to MD, but that's another story).

Especially since the sniper probably lives in the area.

Great deal of speculation about threats in a previous message; all of our citiznes are at risk. Perosn has demonstarted a willingness to shoot all ages, all kinds, days, etc.

Would humbly disagree. Until it is completely clear that this is METs, then if the President gets involved, it just further shows the control this guy has. He would then have the president involved. What a rush for him. What a power statement. "I brought the country to its knees and got the president too." No, no, no. We need to take a long deep breath. We need to get control. This thing is a runaway train, out of control, and heading for a major crash if we don't get control. Pretty soon, with the police releasing irresponsible information, we will have tyrany in the streets. Then they have totally won. Slow the train down. Get control.

All the more reason not to be reading this stuff in public. If the LEAs did it because the media was badgering, then they have lost control of that too. And that my friends, scares me even more. They are letting the shooter control, and now the media? Man we are in deep doo doo.

The folks who had the "country house atop [the] hill" lost their house & barn to the twister. It was at that point that country living didn't seem all that attractive.

Tornados (tornadoes?) can be rough on buildings... They play heck with antennas (antennae?) as well.

On the other hand, the country has got much lower background radio frequency radiation, and atop a hill gives good line-of-sight. And, if the tornado knocks down the house and antennae, well, then it's renovation time!

Not sure what you're trying to infer with that question? I believe I said that I don't expect anyone to dodge bullets just to prove themselves. (Although that Virigina place sounds mildly interesting.)

Anyway, tomorrow I'll be in downtown Manhattan as I am every day. And we all know how safe that is.

(By the way, if I did have business scheduled in Virginia or Maryland tomorrow, I would go. Don't think I would be standing in the street, however.)
