I suspect the FBI is controlling the investigation and Moose is just the one out front. My suspicion is also that Moose is the one the sniper has demanded to give the press conferences and Moose is the one who received the "garbled" phone message. The shooter has him on a leash.

FYI..I am surprised the news folks haven't jumped on this..The CEO of that county said the sniper has not made specific threats towards any group.

Been out of the loop trying to get a legal brief filed in DC Superior Court today. Did I hear Moose say that they DIDN'T have any vehicle or tag information to share? Wonder why they wouldn't release the 793 ABF_ / light colored Chevy Stattion Wagon info that went over the Virginia State Police BOLO?

Yes, Lord, someone just called and ask if that were true. I had to say yes. One thing the media and I don't follow, is WHY the schools are closed in 5 districts around Richmond, but open in Montgomery County? The same threat applies to ALL or did it just apply to the kids in Richmond area? That was never answered today, just blown off (imo) as each community reacts different, etc. (or something like that, anyway)

Nope, not at all...when we were under a possible threat of smallpox in this country, I had begun making plans to homeschool my teenagers, but had since put it on the back burner. I think it may be time to reconsider...

BTW.......when hubs and I showed up at daughter's house early afternoon on Thanksgiving during the Florida fiasco......the first words out of her mouth were NOT "Hi Mom". Instead...she said.........."Don't EVEN think about turning on Fox News while you're here! And I MEAN it this time, Mom!"

A Freeper in the DC area yesterday mentioned the newly formed habit of the residents in the Beltway was to come out en masse after a killing to get all their public business done, because they feel it is a safe time to do so. Thats a tough way to live

My sister lives in No.Va. She said she felt relatively safe going to places where the sniper has already hit. Not so sure that's true anymore with today's hit in Aspen Hills. When I told her yesterday that the guys that were arrested weren't the sniper, her response was "great, and I have to get gas for my car."

I thought we were relatively safe here in Richmond. That is not the case either. It's a different world now.

OK, Letitring, you answered the question. But he has warned the people about precautions, that's all he has been doing...that's all he can do.

"Be Specific". OK..go with that. Like I said before, IF the shooter says to him, "I'm gonna kill school kids"..then should Moose go on TV and say "The sniper says he's going to target a school, next"? Do we keep the schools CLOSED till the sniper is captured? Who makes that decision?

The sniper doesn't need to follow thru, just hold the entire region hostage with vague threats. He could hit a public play-ground.

The more Moose says, the happier the sniper gets..

I wondered about that. I heard him emphatically say, on questioning, "We have not issued a BOLO to the media that should be communicated to the public."

Sounds to me like that's an admission of having issued a "LEO ONLY" BOLO.

We've been homeschooling our 3 sons now for 11 years (our oldest son is now a sophomore in college). The reason I am on FR so much today (and Thursdays)is that my other 2 sons (16 and 11) take a few classes outside the home - Latin, Geometry, Chemistry, Classical Studies.
