I believe the investigators just screwed up and are under a lot of pressure to produce something ... anything.

Everything I have heard about this, the events that led up to it and the talk now, tell me (in my opinion) that these guys were simply swept up in a net they had nothing to do with. I do hope as illegals that they are deported, like we should be doing for all illegals.

"I have written about this."

Yes I have seen some people talk about it of FR but did not realize that was what the subject matter was.

Unfortunately I am living a little to low to the ground right now to make very many purchases.

Hey self, what was that you opined this morning?

FOX: SWAT TEAM AT PHONE BOOTH /VA (SNIPER?) [Man

Anyone think that these may be a couple of Mexican laborers who bought the
van used in Texas? If they are wets then that may be the reason they were
arrested."

I have two lengthy excerpts for each novel on the site.

Go to the main site and read them if you are so inclined ... it's free. Six long excerpts all together.

Best regards.

Just click on the picture of each book at the main site to go to its individual site. The excerpts are on the right side.

Best regards.

The two men taken into police custody earlier today in Richmond have been released into the hands of the INS. The men were questioned about the 12 sniper attacks in Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC, but authorities say thet were not involved in the attacks, and will be deported for immigration violations.

A Justice Department official says one of the men is a 24-year-old from Mexico, and the other is a 34-year-old Guatemalan.

The two were picked up out of a white van at a Richmond gas station. Witnesses say the van had 30 day Virginia tags and had been sitting beside the pay phone for at least 45 minutes before police in bulletproof vests moved in and took the men away. One of the men was dragged out of the van.

Meanwhile, the latest sniper victim is in critical but stable condition at a Richmond hospital.

Doctors removed his spleen, half of his pancreas and two thirds of his stomach. One doctor says he still has a long way to go.

We need statesmen in office ... not politicians. I classify the former as individuals dedicated first to the Constitution and the welfare of this Republic ... I classify the latter as dedicated to themselves, their own agendas, ideologies, vices and sundry other commitments long before the Constitution and the nation.

Exactly. If we had any true statesmen in leadership positions, they would be doing the following:

1) Ask for volunteers to assist local sheriff's in staking out areas close to major intersections, so that the dragnet can be closed rapidly after the next shooting.

2) ALL law abiding Americans would be urged to carry firearms in any manner they so desire, so as to deter and possibly stop the shooter. All federal and state gun laws would no longer be enforced except for those involving in other crimes (as you suggested in your book).

3) All CCW holders caught carrying without a firearm on their person would be fined a small fee. This really wouldn't be enforced, but it would serve as further encouragement for Americans to bear arms.

4) State and federal prosecutors would agree to not prosecute anyone who pursues or fires at the shooters, as long as the effort is in good faith and not excessively reckless.

5) Any searches conducted at roadblocks (without discussing the merits or constitutional issues here) would be for the sole purpose of finding the shooter. Personal property (including firearms) will not be confiscated here, nor with the drivers be harrassed in any way, unless there is probable cause they are involved in the shootings.

Of course, this will probably never happen, since it would require the politicans to admit they don't have control of the situation, and they would never do that.

[When they said they had Medicaide, I knew I had already given them enough.]

Yes, I know what y ou mean about compassion. We conservatives do have the real kind and I have been there. But most of them aren't even on medicaide, they just walk in and get the services.

We, too, paid for two of our children, had insurance with the first. When our second child was born, my husband, a policman at the time, was working about 3 other jobs to come up with the money to pay for the baby's birth. He had some complications and had to stay 2 more days with expensive tests being run and we had to borrow money to pay also. It would have never occurred to us someone else should have to take care of that responsibility for us.

Thanks for the good wishes of grandson, he is doing fine.

[Tell your daughter to tear up EVERY bit on carpet in her house, and throw it away. If she can't afford waxed hardwood floors, she can paint the plywood and use throw rugs. Throw rugs small enough to wash in the machine. She might also want to open the bedroom window in the child's bedroom a small amount to let in fresh air. Seriously]

Thanks for the advice.

They actually live in a rented house as they had to sell their house to pay medical bills. They have very good insurance, but when the bills climb to 6 figures, the co-pay can eat you up. The mother is almost an invalid. The baby is doing much better than he did as an infant and the house is really quite good.

You sound as if you are speaking from experience,a nd I will pass it along, maybe she could move his bed into a room with no carpet. I will tell her - thank you so much.

They must not be too impotant to the investigation : )

Reminds me of a punch line of an old joke involving a tuxedo. A "vey series" old joke...

That's my bet: it's a frustrated federal law enforcement officer, probably from F-Troop.

I wouldn't be surprised. My first choice for the suspect would be a "peaceful" Muslim, but the longer he evades, the more it appears there is the possibility of an "inside job".

Given the feds performance at Waco, Ruby Ridge, and the FBI shooting in Baltimore earlier this year, I would not at all be surprised if a fed was behind this.

I think ranting about the illegals and their hidden and not so hidden costs to this nation is never off topic - it is the topic!!

A major trauma center here in the Los Angeles area is about to be shut down unless the voters bail it out with tax money. Reason? Too many uninsured charity cases (illegal aliens). We pay, they benefit.
