If this theory is the case, then the sniper(s) probably intentionally picked guys that he thought would not speak English well and/or undocumented workers just to baffle the authorities even more. Would likely let these guys twist in the wind for a while and then go back to work.

My greatest fear is that if this is organized/AQ doing these shootings that it may be a diversion for an even bigger event by testing emergency preparedness in various jurisdictions adjacent to Washington.

My only contrary thought about both of these theories is that if he didn't have the barrel all the way out of the van, the flash from the shot would briefly light up the inside of the van like a flashbulb. This would have to get someone's attention.

15 assumptions, and then...the barrel has got to be a couple inches out of the window or 1) shooter has to shoot the gap from inside leaving power signs all over the inside of van, 2) possibly hit glass, which would shatter 3) very narrow visibility from inside, and finally...can you say BOOM! The concussion, even from a .223 is pretty significant. My bet is the barrel is outside.

The flag on the rear window of the "van" was that of Mexico - green, white, red, with the eagle/serpent in the middle stripe (white).

Definitely Mexican -- I picked it out right away. I've seen that exact same sticker on dozens of vehicles in the Mexican neighborhoods around here.

I saw the interview with the Exxon manager and he stated that he surveyed the van with binoculars and saw the NRA sticker. I thought the witness at the Olds dealer say on MSDBC that the suspect was Mexican but he didn't repeat it on FOX ? I definitely saw the Bush bumper sticker in the left rear bumper area.(I assumed it was Bush-Cheney)

It looked like, to the right of and along the bottom edge of that Mexico sticker, there was another striped, flag-looking sticker that had the same colors, but reversed and horizontal, not vertical like the Mexican flag.

It also looked like there was a piece of a decal flapping in the wind above the horizontal sticker...just couldn't see well.
