That AQ guy being held in Belgium spoke of a three-man sniping team.

"The sniper is using a voice changer? Are these easily obtainable?"

Very easily obtainable - from between about $30 to a pretty good one for $100 or $150.

I don't know... I just picked up parts of the MSNBC update at 5:30pm... Something about the police did not take the call at the correct time or missed making the call at the correct time. Then after the 1/2 hour update... on the Abrams Report, they said that only about 25% of the call was understandable due to it sounding like the perp is using a voice changer.

Thanks, Dog. So do we think it changes things that the shooter used one? Why is the shooter afraid someone will hear his voice? Accent, voice prints if previous military, ideas?

You may have a point. But, I would counter with this, just to be the devils advocate, as you must do in evaluating these. I have been thinking about the last two shoots. The Home Depot shoot was the most daring of all. From what I can tell, the shooter had to have been in the garage. Just too must terrain around to make for a good shoot unless he was in the garage. That shoot could have been meant to show that you are not safe, anywhere. Not even in a location that is arguably "indoors". I haven't made much about the fact that someone was with the victim at the last too. Again, I think the primary thing that is reconned by the shooter is opportunity, and impact. He is making a statement. That statement is "you aren't safe". Not it is "even indoors, you are not safe". I need to think about the victim's companion theory as a new need of the shooter.

Will post more later, need to get on the drive home, via the drugstore.

Will see you all later this evening. Will think some more.

From your friendly neighborhood eBay. Cheap, too. I'd imagine better ones are available from other sources. Available to Everyman, I mean, and not just to terrorists and other bad guys.

Thanks for your post; I don't get MSNBC and hadn't heard about the voice changer aspect of the call to police.

Don't know if anyone posted this...but NBC news said that they are holding back information at the request of investigators...but that they now have information that we are entering a new and dangerous phase of this whole game.

Did anyone else hear this?

Deep, growling monster voice; high-pitched kiddie or alien voice; & metallic, echoing robot voice.

Hi... this is the alien voiced sniper....

Didn't hear it on NBC but last night Fox was reporting they were holding info back at request of LEO and that LEO's said were were entering new and dangerous phase. Isn't that reassuring?

Not to quibble but think the shooting started 10/2 and that your theories, while interesting, are a stretch. Flesh it out a little and perhaps you'll be onto something.

Something about the police did not take the call at the correct time or missed making the call at the correct time.

Just how are they getting this info. The media just reports on too much. They actually go beyond their duties. Actually after this is all over, we should boycott them till they learn their lesson. But then they probably just pack up and move overseas like some of the other companies have.

You're right; the media is a big part of the problem here. They need to be much more careful what they report. This evening one of the news stations reported that LEO's think the shooter went outside his normal shooting field to avoid the military planes, because the media was so open in reporting how far and what the planes see. That's changed - the military isn't talking to the press about this at all.

I heard that too. Sounded like they did not get to a phone in time. MSNBC also reporting that Nachman has learned from a "source" that the phone where the Mexican was arrested was the one with the number that the sniper had given. Could be, but that sounds more like one of Nachman's befuddled conclusions.
