Earlier this afternoon I thought I heard that NONE of them were closing. I wonder what changed their minds? Moose's statement?

I heard some profiler on tv say that there was probably two different shooters, one who goes for the head and shoots from a truck and one who goes for body shots and shoots from the ground and leaves clues that refer to movies.

As I mentioned on another thread.....if this keeps up, only the sniper and the police will be on the roads. Maybe that is part of the intent.

Fox indicated parents calls prompted this.May have followed a superintendent's ill advised wolf ticket selling presser earlier today.

Why would you close school? It does not make sense. Chicken little...to the tenth power. You can not let this sniper shut the country down. This is insane.

A saying here in Hoosierland, false bravado attempting to bluff someone,"selling wolf tickets".A superintendent was on tv earlier with the news they would be in school and seemed to have the "we must go on attitude" which may have prompted parents who have been paying attention to the fact that the killer seems to respond to this type of thing to call in.

I just checked Henrico Co. public schools' website, and sure enough, they are closed (I homeschool).

It's the prudent thing to do. Kids and parents are frightened. Why provide bait for the sniper?

If this is true, this is asinine. Re-open them when? What if the sniper is never caught?

I heard the same thing. That schools would be open.

This "person" that left a number, is probably a witness. If the sniper(s) are watching tv coverage, someone is in trouble, deep.

But if you use that logic, you shut down the whole metropolitan area. It's not like kids have been the primary target.

They strongly said they were keeping schools open, they weren't going to let the snipers close 'em down (paraphrase). Wonder if parents flooded them with calls, saying they wouldn't be taking their kids to school.

I've been saying that for DAYS. But it's just another idle speculation, considering we don't even know what's really going on. We're fed false, conflicting and/or mis-information...

In that the teachers union controls the curiculum anyway, they can always blame it on the GOP whenever they decide to get back to their arduous underpaid job of "teaching".
