Chief Moose Asks Sniper to Call Them Back
Beltway Sniper attempted contact last night !

Very short press conference where he simply states that the Beltway Sniper attempted contact and Chief Moose requested that he call them back.

I think the schools should be closed until they catch this guy/these guys. For one thing, it will increase the authorities' incentive to actually reach a conclusion of the case.

So are all the parents supposed to stay home from work to watch them during the day? It would sure make my commute easier but it would have a significant impact on any businesses in the area since they would lose half of their workforce.

I think shutting down the schools for even one day is an over-reaction unless they know something that they do not wish to share with us sheeple. Hey maybe everyone should just stay hidden in their homes until they catch the guy(s).

Maybe some threat was made against the schools, and since Moose has not yet heard back, they have now decided to close the schools ???

Per CNN--5 school districts closed...the police are looking for 2 people, witnesses they believe, who might have seen the shooting..One is a person that was at the gas station and the other was a customer at Ponderosa..however, they think these people are frightened to come forward to report what they saw due to those people who lied about what they saw last week...

IMO,.....the target is NOT towns, but known persons/families as targets selected from a list,.....but,...selecting the 'priority' level from LE/media responses.

I don't think any of this in any way is random.

No one gets it. It's so obvious. Some kid will die on his doorstep if they close the schools. This sniper is countering every move the government makes here. It's been his M.O. from the get-go -- "you can't hide". Absolutely horrifying.

My latest nutty theory was that the sniper picks towns with certain letters in their name--lots of s's; i's, a's and l's. Aspen Hill, Silver Spring, Manassas, Massaponax, Falls Church, Ashland.

More way out stuff. Michael Landon resided on the Ponderosa on Bananza. Bonanza Plays on the same Ashland local cable channel 2 times a day Mon-Fri. (2 and 5 pm)

Maybe an overdose of Bonanza's Ponderosa and Michael Landon at the Local Econo-Lodge during the 5 day shooting lull.

I've got nothing against homeschooling (far from it!). In fact, I'd like to see the public schools slowly privatized. But until then, I'm working from within the belly of the beast to salvage the kids that I can.

As for the other folks on this thread; well, I shouldn't have allowed myself to be baited into this off-topic discussion in the first place. This subject is too serious. But I was hoping that I might enlighten a few folks that their knee-jerk stereotypes might not be as valid as they would like to believe. It's called a "teachable-moment" in the business. Oh, well.

You are very welcome. Other than the bare facts of who got shot, where, when, how, we in the general public know very, very little about this string of shootings. The authorities are being remarkably tight-lipped in spite of the fact that, early on, Chief Moose seemed to hold a press conference whenever anyone sneezed. And despite wall-to-wall coverage and wild speculation on TV among the pseudo-experts who are yammering on and on, the media's reporting seems to be unusually thin on facts. This is either because many of them live in the DC metro area and they are as scared as everyone else, so they aren't as open to the report-a-leak-a-day game as usual, or because there simply haven't been any leaks since the tarot card. Either way, we FReepers should at least try not to go off half cocked like this.

He could also be plumber, carpet cleaner, cable guy, bug man,home security system installer,appliance repairman, driver for charity that picks up used clothing/household items like Salvation Army...etc.

The guys who attacked us on 9/11 had been living here and blending in. I recall one arrested in Tx was a Doctor and working at U.T. I believe.

Kinda weird when Moose asks for Media help 2 of the big 3 decide to not concentrate as much on the sniper story.
