Beltway Sniper attempted contact last night !

Very short press conference where he simply states that the Beltway Sniper attempted contact and Chief Moose requested that he call them back.

I don't know if this is significant, but its been my experience that the .223 actually drops when first exiting the barrell, then rises to begin the normal path shown in the charts. Thats why I switched to 6.5mm for scoped shooting. The charts usually begin at 100 yds and don't tell you whats going on in the first 50. It may have just been the ammo, but it always did this. Weird ballistics.

This may sound totally off the wall (oh, hey, why not?) but I'm wondering if the number may not have been something related to the President - that is, a secret number, which the shooters would use to reveal how much they knew - and their purpose is to make some kind of demands or threats.

It sounded like, well, a bullet--very fast, cutting the air when they went over my head. No boom. No hollywood richocet.

And yes, you drop to the ground involuntarily. In hindsight, I realize you need aboslutely no training. You hear that noise and your face is in the dirt. Its kind of funny now. Wasn't then.

What I am trying to say is that only works if the bullet causes immediate death......Some folks die hard, it takes them days to die from a bullet wound.....Or longer.....
