Chief Moose Asks Sniper to Call Them Back
Beltway Sniper attempted contact last night !

Very short press conference where he simply states that the Beltway Sniper attempted contact and Chief Moose requested that he call them back.

I don't like people who take advantage of their situation, believing they won't be held accountable, because they're a minority. What do you think would have happened to a white male who made the "If you want the Washington Post to take over this investigation..." outburst? If you really don't see the outrageously negative traits of Moose - you've got a serious problem. I commend the FReepers who are bold and honest enough to criticize the laughable things he's done. The "r" word doesn't have the power as a weapon that it used to!

Does anyone have an opinion as to why sometimes a head shot and the other shots to the back and gut?

No concrete opinion yet. Could have to do with the surroundings the shooter had for making the shot or it could be two different shooters-one not as confident as the other.

I have wondered if the "lead" shooter's partner was unable to get into the US or else picked up in one of the fed's raids, and if the Sept. 14 shooting at the liquor store was a tryout for the one who seems to get only torso shots.

The number was provided so the killer can make demands.....

If al Queda, the demands will center on the release of certain prisoners or our withdrawal from AfCRAPastan or something alike....

If it's a crazy (which I doubt), he'll probably ask for a moose with cheese for his sister.....

Aw-oh, it sounds like you have a winner, a new movie with a sniper and a phone booth.

It is interesting because someone on FOX, last night, said that he thought that we have two different snipers, one who aims at the head and one who takes body shots. Now, we have another tie in to the body shot at the school, a message left behind that ties to a movie.

Chief Moose asks the person (sniper or witness, who knows), to call the number the person left. That's right - "Call the number" the sniper or witness left. The reporters are scratching their heads on that one. Chief Moose is the best! Maybe now the FBI will take over the investigation.

I would say that the number was that of a public payphone. I guess a cop will get into the payphone and the perp will call.

Although i guess initially the cops were supposed to call the perp who would have been at the pay phone, but i guess something happened (perhaps the sniper saw that it would be very easy for a trap to be sprung on him) and when the cops called he did not answer.

Thus the cops now telling the perp to call them at the number, where a cop would be waiting to answer the call. Pure speculation, but it works out.

The funny thing is i went to watch a movie and i saw this trailer of a sniper who has a person trapped in a public phonebooth! Who knows, maybe this perp is planning to go out in a blaze of glory, but maybe first he wants to shoot a cop in a booth. The perp does seem to be following the media closely, and maybe now he has gone to films. After all think how vulnerable the cop would be. (I am sure some freepers know of which trailer i am talking about ...the one where this guy hears a the phone in the booth ringing, gets inside the booth, and when he picks up the phone a person tells him he has a sniper rifle with a bead on him and if he moves he will shoot him).

However i am certain that if the cops do send one of their own into a phone booth that there will be more police and SWAT snipers around that area to shoot a whole flock of geese! That phonebooth could essentially be the safest place on the globe at that moment!

I didn't hear how many school districts are closing, but I heard them say it was being recomended.

CNN just said they are closing four or five (?) school districts tomorrow...

Earlier, they said schools would be open, but on a tight lockdown. Something has changed.

In my scenario, crazy as it may be, the sniper would have told the chief exactly what to say and the sniper would know what he meant.
