Ashland Shooting: Sunday Updates

Per FOXNews, a 10am EASTERN news conference is planned. Two travelers pulled off I-95 for dinner at a Ponderosa Steak House. The Man, 37, was shot in the gut while his wife stood next to him.

Bullet has NOT been removed from the man while, after surgery, he remains in Critical but GUARDED condition, however, x-rays are expected to provide some dimensional analysis of the slug. Further surgeries may be required on the victim, according to FOX and then the bullet is likely to be recovered.

Meanwhile, the "white" box truck/van that was found with a "Shell" in it at Dulles is reported to be a 7.62 (.030'??) OLD shell and NOT expected to be part of the "Sniper Shootings".

Multiple LEA's are now in Ashland, VA located about 80 miles south of DC to begin more site investigations at first light of dawn.

Numerous witnesses in the area saw the man fall down and provided aid to the man. The man was still conscious and spoke during the rescue. According to (spit) CNN, there will be NO news conferences from the hospital.

Yeah no sh!t, bro... That's about half an hour west of me... Got back late last night with buds of mine, one of 'em heading back up 95 to Fredericksburg, saw the newscast when I walked in the door but too late to stop Bud-- I reckon they had northbound traffic on 95 stopped for hours...

Saw Meet The Press this morning, John Walsh pontificating away-- actually he's quite articulate. Well suited to what he does and whatnot. Some FBI chick commented on the case when Walsh let her have a word in edgewise-- she thinks Sniper Dude ain't crazy, that he knows exactly what he's doing, and that "Dear Policeman, I am God" doesn't indicate delusions of grandeur and whatnot, but instead a challenge to law enforcement, as in "hey you numbnuts, watch yer backs!"

But he will make a mistake. Somebody will. At least that's what we all keep telling ourselves.

Meanwhile I am keepin an eye on the neighbors, haha...

This sort of thing can't be ruled out either. Our own home-grown islamics may have gotten settled into the area and could now be setting up operations:

Recently I saw a demostration of what those bloodhounds can do and it was fascinating.

1.Bloodhounds can pick up the trail of a criminal from something as small as a scuff mark on a window or footprints in mud or dust. They can also follow blood and other body fluids.

2.They can tell the difference between people by their scents. They don't get confused. it's a lot like DNA - People have very specific scents.

3.They're known for following long, old trails - Just how long depends on the dog. Also if a bloodhound tracks someone of something - that information can be used in court as evidence.

4.The dogs can also follow scents in most weather - including heavy rain - but a light rain or the morning dew can make the scent stand out more to the dogs. They also work best late at night.

You are correct that returning to an earlier foreign policy stance would sharply reduce, if not eliminate terrorism. That policy is mutual assured desrtuction. And it should be applied to Islamic nations who have used WMDs in the form of bioterror (anthrax and/or WNV). It would take less than 1/3rd of the Trident fleet less than one hour to implement.

Terrorist experts today said it could very well be Muslim Extremists. They said this may be a diversion. All LEAs are on the sniper case, but in the background, terrorists may be working on something very big - much bigger - for the DC area.
Reports say Al Quata has sad big attacks, equal to 9/11, are still on their way.
How did that NY ship become radio active in the first place, and where is it now? The "something" Senator missing since 9/10?

A key thing to remember about the tarot card is that the message was in German. This was reported in the Wash Post and several other mainstream media outlets.

I think you're right that shooter/s have become bored with isolated victims and have escalated their MO to people with someone else. First the wife with her husband, then the husband with his wife. It really does raise the level of fear and terror. Next is it going to be picking off an individual in a group?

I also think the white van is a decoy and that the perp/s are cleverly avoiding the police dragnet because they aren't leaving the area!

Point of interest: Yesterday Fox News was saying there's a video game (missed the name) that's a sniper game, and when the player reaches a certain level of "success," the words I AM GOD are displayed. Creepy?

Thank you for that article. I seriously doubt that the Feds are aware of such things. The locals, however, are. This is exactly why the Feds taking over will fail to "get" what they need.

In the "power play" they are most likely to overlord the locals and "hear" almost nothing. Unless you have llived on the federal level for awhile you cannot understand how poorly things are handled by comparison.

Just compare "Moose" who is accustomed to fed operation to the Hanover Co people you heard last night. The State people in that area had already prepared (BEFORE the second or third shooting) and already had plan in place to shut down the area, etc.etc. The Feds and task force were not even there before they had everything working. It was better handled than anything in my inside the beltway stuff has been handled on the shootings here.

People who think the fed does everything best are deceived and vociferous. They are less interested in upholding the Constitution and more interested in forwarding the Socialist concept because of this mind-set. We have ahost of them here. They call themselves conservatives but that does not mean that they are with regard to federalization or socialization of all things.

Thank heaven for former Gov. Allen's strong opinions this AM on all this. No you cannot afford to put this into the hands of the Feds entirely, whether you call this HOmeland Security (which is an absurd concept to begin with) or SS.

Re: Seven Deadly Sins-- That is utter whack, dude, the "sins" don't even match up with the victims. One can find patterns of just about any sort if ya look for 'em hard enough. Heck, I could make a case for Tim Russert being the DC sniper-- he's got a button on his shirt for each victim, and his name ends in "m" which correlates with Michael's, and there are no c's or w's in the title Meet the Press which correlates with his desire to shoot children and women, and the m in his name negates the m in MTP which correlates with his desire to shoot men too. And he thinks he is God because he doesn't have a coanchor. There ya go.

You didnt fear it as you were kept in the dark..was there before and "has happened" to our soldiers(those are Americans too ya know)..just we chose to say was on someone elses land in some way off distant place..It has been there ! (Clinton)governments had a "chicken in every pot" and a new car in your garage, kissed your baby and a 401k..all narrowed your vision.Now you are shocked? Children are beaten and murdered in their homes by their parents..molested by family friends and strangers..gang bangers did drive byes in every city..murderers and rapists roamed the streets? But when it is a Foreign terrorist you have fear?...Was always fear felt by many out there, but they continued with their lives..this is just another kind of fear..with the same senario of.."being in the wrong place at the wrong time" The world didnt turn into a Sink Hole overnight. Terrorism is terrorism..murder is murder..death is death..felt by all human beings around the world not just America and that is the part of Life that sucks! Just my opinion.
