I've been watching the TV coverage for the past 15 minutes on FoxNews and CNN and I have the following question (for authorities):

What the hell are you all doing at the scene! The sniper(s) are long gone from the scene and will not be found there. I see what must be 300 flashing cop cars on the scene just sitting there. How many policemen do you need on the scene to get evidence, eyewitness statements, etc.? Get the cops on the roads to find these guys!

I also have another question. Where the hell is Tom Ridge and his "Homeland Security" team? I'm no fan of expanded government but since we have the extra layer of bureaucracy in place, why aren't we using it? Isn't this kind of thing what the Homeland Security Department was created for? And by the way, that silly-assed color coded terrorism alert system is a complete joke. What color are we on today? Orange? Silver? Beige? Does it even friggin matter!

CNN reporting that no altercation took place in the parking lot prior to the shooting.

They can't tell us that this is terrorism, or even hint of it. It's "for our own good".

Isn't this kind of thing what the Homeland Security Department was created for?

No.

And why haven't the people of the state demanded the muster of the Militia?

The Police Paradigm and all such Provements that Government Works --- the relentless bureaucratic waste of the peoples' resources in the fatuous, leftist, socialism that government is THE answer to all bad creatures, Big and Small --- is evidently C.R.A.P.

The Virginians need to muster in order to place extra posts along the roads. They've certainly had plenty of time to do so ... and now yet another opportunity lost, because of officialdom's vanity.

There is no Homeland Security right now, aside from a desk and a chair. No money. No authority. Nada.

I agree with your comments about a zillion police cars sitting in one place though...

I'm afraid that you'd have to ask Daschle where the Homeland Security team is. My guess would be at a union meeting.

You'd have to ask the Democrats in Congress about all that, since they are the ones who've blocked the homeland defense stuff.

Where the hell is Tom Ridge and his "Homeland Security" team? Thanks to little Tommy Daschle, there is no "Homeland Security Team", the Senate is more concerned with government worker union rules than it is the security and safety of the American people. What Tom Ridge, and I'm not a fan of his either, is right now is an advisor to the President. He has no "team", other than his immmediate staff.
