You can believe what you wish, but your rights ultimately dependent on the whims of the majority.

And there you have one of the prime reasons for the second amendment. If "the majority", menaing 50% +1, want to take away the rights of the minority, it will cost them. Might make them less likely to get such whims, might it not?

Yup. That's one of the reasons I'm a strong supporter of the 2nd ammendment. Proud member of the NRA and JPFO :)

If the "majority" ever succeeds in repealing the second amendment, I don't think they will be the "majority" for very long.

But if the majority took away the 2nd Amendment where would you be? Some seem to think that the "right" would no longer exist since it would not be granted by the Constitution any more. I suppose the only solution would be to march up and turn in your guns if that happened.
