Hanover County Shooting [Ashland, Virginia- North of Richmond]

Just reported. Took place outside of a Ponderosa Steakhouse. Not sure if it is related or not at this time. Police have shut down parts of I-95.

John Gibson is on it.....more of a FR lag than I'm used to.
They aren't sure yet on this one. If true, the further South they move, the hairier it will get for the shooters to survive.

It's a little north of Richmond, and roughly 100 miles south of DC

Hanover County is located in the east-central Piedmont and Coastal Plain areas of Virginia, between the Chickahominy and Pamunkey Rivers. It is approximately 90 miles south of Washington, D.C. and 12 miles north of Richmond. It is a part of the greater Richmond metropolitan area. The County land area is 471 square miles and is bordered by the Counties of Caroline, King William, New Kent, Henrico, Goochland, Spotsylvania and Louisa. There is one incorporated town in the County, which is the Town of Ashland.

Realize that any shooting in that area of the country will get immediate attention. Not enough information is in yet to determine whether this another sniper shooting or something totally unrelated.

I heard this, too, FOX said they'd break in when they hear further....police were en route, in Virginia, I believe.

It does make sense however for the sniper(s) to move outside the dragnet that is currently draped over the D.C. area.
