Posted on 10/19/2002 6:14:56 PM PDT by William McKinley
Just reported. Took place outside of a Ponderosa Steakhouse. Not sure if it is related or not at this time. Police have shut down parts of I-95.

Any news radio in the Richmond area that we can listen to online? Fox deprived, I am.

Do you honestly think they could hold this guy in custody without it getting out?! Our own Senate can't keep a secret on national security issues.

I didn't post it with that in the title. I think a moderator saved my butt from some flames.

Mrs. M/M7 talked to our son-in-law about 6:00PM this evening. Everything was OK at that time.

Ya think?

"Maybe tonite their luck will run out!" Amen. Where is the map of the surrounding mosques and safehouses?
To: SamAdams76
I know it sounds like a movie cliche, but, since the guy left a tarot card, could the locations of the shootings be forming anything like a mysticism symbol, or zodiac symbol, on the map?

Another white van hunt.......

You think Michael's business is off? I'm in Texas and the thought of going in one creeps me out.

I'm afraid that you'd have to ask Daschle where the Homeland Security team is. My guess would be at a union meeting.

The location of the shooting is far from a "Rough Area". It's hicktown USA. It's God's country. I love it there.

The getaway is the hard part for this sniper team.
It seems that the challenge is (after the shot) getting quietly (without squealing tires) into a flow of traffic -- before anywone can look in that direction. Also probably means firing from within a vehicle.
** I see they have stopped a white box van-truck on Rt. 54 Ashland, with drawn shotguns. Probably not our guys...
I wouldn't want to be in such a vehicle.

"Might not be a bad idea on FR to avoid mentioning locations of roadblocks. "
These guys are too good to get caught at a road block. By the time the first cop gets the the scene, the shooter could be 5 miles away, by the time road blocks are set up in a 5 mile perimeter, the guys could be 20 miles away heading in the opposite direction, staying off main roads.
All it takes is a VA road atlas and they're one step ahead of the law, all day/night long.

always raised hell in the newsroom, in my days as an editor, when someone is reported in "stable" condition. "stable" is not a condition -- it means that the condition is unchanging. a frozen chicken is in stable condition.

This is a wild goose chase. With all the publicity, don't the authorities think the snipers would actually CHANGE vehicle types?
To: twntaipan
Yeah, I can just see the guy cruising down the road and chekcing FR for the roadblocks on his internet connection. Geez.

Rita Cosby just said that he was shot in the back (COWARDS!) and was still in surgery.

Left a tarot card at one of the previous shootings, I mean.
