You think Michael's business is off? I'm in Texas and the thought of going in one creeps me out.

You think Michael's business is off?I'm in Pennsylvania and our local Home Depot was dead this week according to the guy at the checkout.

I don't know, but I wonder if most people just aren't as aware of the details as we are here. Maybe it's just not very apparent to most people, if it's not being emphasized on the regular news channels and in print.

Been in one twice since this started happening. Does creep me out a bit--I find myself looking over my shoulder even though we are a couple states away. I have to say last time I was in was 2 days ago and the local store to me is a small, dismal, old Michaels(not like the bright and big ones they build now) and this store was unusually PACKED! Lot of business coming through that day. Home Depot had a healthy parking lot full of cars too. Like I said I'm two states off in the midwest though so perhaps people are more disaffected. I admit if it was in my area all NON necessity shopping trips would be over and I would probably have hubby deliver me to the door of the supermarket and pick me up there when I finished. No parking and walking to the door. I guess you take your chances with gas, what can you do if the tank needs filling?
