I wish you had showed up about 3 hours ago........LOL. You've made more sense than any of us!

Tell me what is not logical about using records of this type of weapon to follow the only real evidence they have?
If its legal. But something can be logical without being legal. There are a lot of things in this country that would be so much easier and conveniently dealt with if there were no laws getting in the way of authorities. We might be okay if you were the one determining when to logically not apply certain laws but probably would not be okay if it were Hillary. So to be safe, I think I am in favor of being pretty strict on the legalism.

"During that time Wyatt Earp tamed 3 of the wildest towns of the era, Tombstone, Dodge City and Wichita. In all 3 his first action was to "repeal the right to carry" of populace."

And he, like the other sheriffs and marshalls of the time, had the legal right to.
"To suppose arms in the hands of citizens, to be used at individual discretion, except in private self-defense, or by partial orders of towns, countries or districts of a state, is to demolish every constitution, and lay the laws prostrate, so that liberty can be enjoyed by no man; it is a dissolution of the government. The fundamental law of the militia is, that it be created, directed and commanded by the laws, and ever for the support of the laws." -- John Adams

Gotta love it when FRs two most notorious gun law supporters get together to slap backs and cheer each other on in their communitarian agendas... Mindboggling to think you two still claim to be 'conservatives'.

Well, thank you ma'am. I started to ask how come everyone is still up at 2:56 am but was afraid to.
To: Howlin
Frankly, I don't care if you or he/she appreciated it or not. If you or he/she can't take it, too damned bad. Political discussions are not all always sweet and delightful. I'm not here to please you or he/she. Your chances for tomorrow of being pleased don't look good, either. If you're so sensitive, better you go read a good romance novel.
I don't have time for diletantes. By the time this country gets back to where it should be, politically, economically, socially and spiritually, your types will have long since gone by the wayside. In fact, I can see that *some* here will become Vichy-like and traitors to the core when the going gets tough. You'll sell your souls and your comrades for "safety and security". Too many here haven't the guts or the courage to withstand any major social and political upheaval.
It's just nice to see who is capable of being trusted and who's probable in the "easily turned" camp.

It's 3:56 here! UGH.

When a person 'targets' another poster...I sincerely doubt he is a newbie. Too many phrases I've seen used on THIS thread are almost word for word from the LP site (describing Howlin) for this to be a coinky dink.

From the revelation of St. John:
And after this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? And whence came they?
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Therefore are they day and night before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of water: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Revelation 7: 9-10, 13-17

"but some people who post about "rights", on threads like this, are really concerned about a right that dosen't exist - their right to partake of illegal drugs.
Or someone could be painting with a mighty big brush to taint everybody who would happen to disagree.

Here's the problem: they can't develop a database, they can't use the information on 4473's for developing a database. It's against the Brady Act that spawned NICS but they are. And they are doing it in the open.
I'm not going to use hyperbole but I am listening to gunowners in Maryland and they are telling anyone who wants to hear.
The ATF is building a database and questioning gunowners. It's happening right now. If you don't want to listen that's fine but gunowners in MD are seeing it happen.
People are getting visited by the ATF for no other reason than the caliber of their weapon. Range logs are getting pulled. 4473's (in direct violation of law) are getting copied by LEO and guns are getting sent in (voluntarily?) for testing.
Ponder what I'm saying. It is happening.

Gotta love it when FRs two most notorious gun law supporters get together to slap backs and cheer each other on in their communitarian agendas... Mindboggling to think you two still claim to be 'conservatives'. I see you are still milking your word for the day. It is time to flip the page.
To: MJY1288
The LEO on the phone did not say a thing about surrendering my gun for ballistic finger-printing, he just asked if I was willing to be interviewed if asked. I said no problem and he said thank You and hung up.Don't ever give information to anyone you don't know, over the telephone.....Don't do it. If it's important and legitimate, they will personally contact you by mail, with letter head, and a call back number, or in person with ID in hand.

Your buddy tpaine has arrived, Now the thread will certainly go down the toilet. I will say goodnight before I have to suffer through his idiotic anal retentive drivil,
Goodnight

His PP says 9-27-02.
Of course he may be a re-entry or a multiple re-entry.
I've seen some of his other stuff around lately.....probably an objectivist....which is his right but he's got to take the heat if he wants to opine.
Personal attacks are what folks use when they are out of ammo of substance...but you know that already.
I'm to bed....it's 3:00 here..terrorists are still on the loose and my very preggers wife is nervous....Good Night!

The existence of the right isn't at issue.
Then I'm at peace with you.

"I had a thought though, when he hopefully is feeling better in a day or two, why not do a MRI?"They can't do an MRI with a bullet in them. It would tear the guts apart. It was explained in a previous thread by some brave father with a daugher in an accident. There is a point where they can do so much in an operation then have to back off temporarilly because of life signs and body pressure.
I know a basketball player that played for Pitt in the last few years that has a bullet in his head. They don't want to mess with it because it is too close to some vitals. I mean, this is touchy stuff when you mess with the vitals in the body. I understand now, there are some things better off just left alone.
To: Arkinsaw
Then you are saying that the Brady bill is now constitutional?
To: Thumper1960
That sound you heard was my point going over YOUR head.
Your chances for tomorrow of being pleased don't look good, either
Evidently the owner of this site wasn't too "pleased" with your rudeness, as the post you're so deligently trying to defend has gone MIA.
You people need to get over yourselves; your holier-than-thou attitudes don't win many arguments so you end up getting personal.
To: justshe
I was just going by his PP page. 9-27-02......Randian/Contrarian.....SOS
I'm going to the rack...night!
